jetMESSENGER® is a mRNA transfection reagent that has been specifically designed to offer outstanding transfection efficiency in cells that are usually hard to transfect, allowing relevant gene expression experiments in all cell types.

mRNA transfection is as easy as DNA transfection, with the advantage that mRNA does not need to reach the cell nucleus for expression and does not require cell division for efficient gene expression. Hence, cells that are slow dividing or that have developed specific mechanisms to protect their genome can be used for gene expression. jetMESSENGER® has been designed to transfect cells that divide slowly or that have developed specific mechanisms, such as primary cells, neurons, suspension cells and various cancer cell lines. jetMESSENGER® enables transfection of these so-called hard to transfect cells, as well as easy to transfect cell types. jetMESSENGER® is very gentle on cells enabling high cell viability to be maintained.
Certifications: Polyplus-transfection® has been an ISO 9001 accredited company since 2002. Since then this certification has been successfully renewed every three years. Every batch of jetMESSENGER® mRNA transfection reagent is tested in-house by mRNA transfection of CaCo-2 cells with a GFP-expressing mRNA and each vial of reagent is provided with a Certificate of Analysis.
