Cholate de sodium ≥98.5%, poudre blanche
Cholate de sodium
Cholic acid is a biochemical solubilizing agent (a non-ionic, non-denaturing detergent). Occurs inconjugation with glycine or taurine in bile of most vertebrates.
- Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC): 14mM
Cholic acid is used in the solubilization of membrane-bound proteins in their native state. It is a component for the preparation of liposomes. It has also been used in a study to investigate the elastic deformable vesicles, transfersomes, for transdermal drug delivery.
Cholate is a bile acid produced in liver during cholesterol breakdown. Cholate downregulates cholesterol-7-α-hydroxylase (rate-limiting step in bile acid synthesis). Cholate, an anionic detergent, is used alone and in combination with urea to extract and reconstitute membrane proteins and protein complexes.
Cholic acid is a biochemical solubilising agent (a non-ionic, non-denaturing detergent). Occurs inconjugation with glycine or taurine in bile of most vertebrates.
Soluble in water (100 mg/ml). Soluble in ethanol (40 mg/ml - clear, colorless solution).
