Recognizes a protein of 185 kDa, which is identified as c-erbB-2/HER-2/neu. Its epitope is localized in the extracellular domain. C-erbB-2/HER-2 is a member of the EGFR family. This MAb is specific and shows minimal cross-reaction with other members of the EGFR-family. Receptors of this family are located on the plasma membrane and consist of an extracellular ligand-binding domain that is connected to a large intracellular domain by a single transmembrane sequence. c-erbB-2/HER-2 protein is over-expressed in a variety of carcinomas especially those of breast and ovary.

There are families of related genes for each subunit. GNB3 encodes a beta subunit. NGL-1 is a single pass type I membrane protein that acts as a cell adhesion molecule. It contains nine leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and one Ig-like C2-type domain. NGL-1 is predominantly expressed in the striatum and the cerebral cortex of both the embryonic and adult brain. NGL-1 specifically interacts with Netrin G1 (a molecule involved in axon guidance in the developing central nervous system) via its LRR region. NGL-1 plays a role in the regulation of neurite outgrowth of developing thalamic neurons. Soluble NGL-1 inhibits thalamic axon outgrowth while NGL-1 that is bound to the surface of developing thalamocortical axons stimulates growth. NGL-1 also interacts with Whirlin possibly stablizing interstereociliar links.

Shootin1 is a 631 amino acid protein that belongs to the shootin family. The shootin1 protein contains three coiled-coil domains, a proline-rich region and interacts with RUFY3. Shootin1 is involved in the generation of internal asymmetric signals required for neuronal polarisation. The shootin1 protein acts upstream of PI3K (phosphoinositide 3-kinase), by being required for spatially localised PI3K activity. By accumulating asymmetrically in a single neurite before polarisation, shootin1 leads to axon induction for polarisation, additionally the absence of shootin1 from the nascent axon's siblings by competition prevents the formation of surplus axons. Existing as seven alternatively spliced isoforms, the shootin1 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, mouse, rat, chicken and zebrafish, and maps to human chromosome 10q25.3.

As far as transcription repression is concerned, acts by interacting with long intergenic RNA p21 (lincRNA-p21), a non-coding RNA induced by p53/TP53. ADCK2 (aarF domain containing kinase 2), also known as AARF, is a 626 amino acid single-pass membrane protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily and the ADCK protein kinase family. The ADCK family consists of five paralogs in human (ADCK1-5). Encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 7q34, ADCK2 contains one protein kinase domain. ADCK2 participates in ATP and nucleotide binding, transferase functions and protein serine/threonine kinase activities. Expression of ADCK2 inversely correlates with cellular viability, suggesting elevated expression of ADCK2 may be essential for tumour survival. ADCK2 is necessary for cell proliferation of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a fatal primary brain tumor containing countless genetic and epigenetic alterations.

Staphylococcal enterotoxins represent a group of proteins, which are secreted by Staphylococcus aureus and cause staphylococcal food poisoning syndrome. The illness is characterised by high fever, hypotension, diarrhea, shock, and in some cases death. Their molecular masses range between 27 and 30 kDa. At present, seven enterotoxins are known, namely A, B, C1, C2, C3, D and E. Their amino acid sequences have been determined and it was shown that all are single chain polypeptides containing one disulfide bond formed by two half cystines located in the middle of the polypeptide chain, which form the so called cysteine loop. SEB is an extremely potent activator of T cells, stimulating the production and secretion of various cytokines which mediate many of the toxic effects of SEB.

Endobrevin, also designated VAMP-8 or ED, is a 100 amino acid single-pass type IV membrane protein that belongs to the synaptobrevin family. Similar in sequence to the synaptobrevins, endobrevin is abundantly expressed in kidney, moderately expressed in heart and spleen, and slightly expressed in brain, thymus and liver. Endobrevin interacts specifically with the SNAPs, most likely through an endobrevin-containing SNARE complex.
