Description:
Recognizes the -chain of CD3, which consists of five different polypeptide chains (designated as γ, δ, ε, ζ, and η) with MW ranging from 16-28 kDa. The CD3 complex is closely associated at the lymphocyte cell surface with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). Reportedly, CD3 complex is involved in signal transduction to the T cell interior following antigen recognition. The CD3 antigen is first detectable in early thymocytes and probably represents one of the earliest signs of commitment to the T cell lineage. In cortical thymocytes, CD3 is predominantly intra-cytoplasmic. However, in medullary thymocytes, it appears on the T cell surface. CD3 antigen is a highly specific marker for T cells, and is present in majority of T cell neoplasms.

The PAX5 gene is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. The central feature of this gene family is a novel, highly conserved DNA-binding motif, known as the paired box. The PAX proteins are important regulators in early development, and alterations in the expression of their genes are thought to contribute to neoplastic transformation. The PAX5 gene encodes the B-cell lineage specific activator protein (BSAP) that is expressed at early, but not late stages of B-cell differentiation. Its expression has also been detected in developing CNS and testis, therefore, PAX5 gene product may not only play an important role in B-cell differentiation, but also in neural development and spermatogenesis.

Dyggve-Melchior-Clausen syndrome (DMC), a rare autosomal recessive disorder, is characterized by microcephaly, short trunk dwarfism and sometime psychomotor retardation. Cutaneous cells of affected individuals show dilated rough endoplasmic reticulum and enlarged vacuoles. The Dyggve-Melchior-Clausen syndrome protein, also designated dymeclin, may play a role in proteoglycan metabolism and intracellular protein digestion. It is a widely expressed multi-pass membrane protein, detected primarily in chondrocytes and fetal brain tissue. Defects in dymeclin are also the cause of Smith-McCort dysplasis syndrome (SMC), which has characteristics identical to those of Dyggve-Melchior-Clausen syndrome.

The characterization of duck plague is tissue hemorrhage, digestive mucosal eruptions lesions of lymphoid organs and degenerative changes in parenchymatous organs. Duck plague was difficult to monitor and control, because duck plague virus established an asymptomatic carrier state in both domestic and wild waterfowls that was detectable only during the intermittent shedding period of the virus. Duck plague has resulted in significant economic losses in commercial duck industry due to high mortality rate and decreased duck egg production.

Description:
TRITC (Tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate) is a popular rhodamine derivative pink in color but emits a red-orange color upon Emission at 580nm. TRITC is frequently paired with FITC in double labeling experiments and conjugated antibodies are often used in immunofluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, FLISA (fluorescent ELISA) and high throughput screening assays. These conjugates are best excited with the 532 nm spectral line of the He-Ne laser and are also recommended as a second color detection reagent in in situ hybridization applications. (Excitation/Emission = 555 nm / 580 nm Emission Color = Orange to Red (Similar Dyes: Alexa Fluor 555, Cy3, DyLight 550).

It contains several domains including a nuclear localization signal (NLS) near the N-terminus, polyproline domains, a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (b/HLH/Zip) and a leucine zipper like (zip-like) domain.ChREBP is ubiquitously detected in various tissues, with highest expression in liver, kidney and white and brown adipose tissue. Under basal conditions ChREBP is localized in the cytosol, translocating into the nucleus upon high glucose stimulation following its dephosphorylation of serine 196.

Mutations of the tyrosinase gene occur in various forms of albinism. Tyrosinase is one of the targets for cytotoxic T-cell recognition in melanoma patients. Staining of melanomas with this MAb shows tyrosinase in melanotic as well as amelanotic variants. This MAb is a useful marker for melanocytes and melanomas.

This MAb reacts with the rod domain of human cytokeratin-19 (CK19), a polypeptide of 40 kDa. CK19 is expressed in sweat gland, mammary gland ductal and secretory cells, bile ducts, gastrointestinal tract, bladder urothelium, oral epithelia, esophagus, and ectocervical epithelium. Anti-CK19 reacts with a wide variety of epithelial malignancies including adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomach, pancreas, biliary tract, liver, and breast. Perhaps the most useful application is the identification of thyroid carcinoma of the papillary type, although 50%-60% of follicular carcinomas are also labeled. Anti-CK19 is a useful marker for detection of tumor cells in lymph nodes, peripheral blood, bone marrow and breast cancer.

In Western blotting, this antibody recognizes proteins in MW range of 265-400 kDa, identified as different glycoforms of EMA. This MAb reacts with the DTRP epitope in the tandem repeats. The α subunit has cell adhesive properties. It can act both as an adhesion and an anti-adhesion protein. EMA may provide a protective layer on epithelial cells against bacterial and enzyme attack. The β subunit contains a C-terminal domain, which is involved in cell signaling, through phosphorylations and protein-protein interactions. In immunohistochemical assays, it superbly stains routine formalin/paraffin carcinoma tissues. Antibody to EMA is useful as a pan-epithelial marker for detecting early metastatic loci of carcinoma in bone marrow or liver.

BRCC45 was initially suggested to be a housekeeping protein that is highly expressed in brain and reproductive organs. Later experiments indicated BRCC45 forms a complex with the breast and ovarian predisposition proteins BRCA1 and BRCA2 as well as RAD51 and BRCC36. This complex has a ubiquitin E3 ligase activity and is thought to enhance cellular survival following DNA damage. BRCC45 has also been suggested to function as a death receptor associated anti apoptotic protein by inhibiting the BID induced activation of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway. Higher levels of BRCC45 were detected in the majority of hepatocellular carcinomas, suggesting that BRCC45 may promote tumorigenesis when overexpressed. At least three isoforms of BRCC45 are known to exist.
