SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. This protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. It acts as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein and is important for neural crest and peripheral nervous system development. Mutations in this gene are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschsprung disease.

Description:
The 1D3 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein, a member of the Ig superfamily and a B cell-lineage differentiation antigen expressed by all the B lymphocyte development stages, except for the terminally differentiated plasma cells. CD19 associates with CD21, CD81 and MHC class II to form a multi-molecular complex that initiates the mature B lymphocyte activation by interaction with the B-cell receptors. CD 19 enhances the B cell proliferation, development and activation, and the maturation of memory B cells. In CD19-deficient mice, the generation and maturation of B lymphocytes in the bone marrow and periphery are affected.

Galectin-Related Protein (LGALSL) is a 172 amino acid protein that contains one Galectin domain. LGALSL does not appear to bind carbohydrates or lactose as the critical residues required for binding are not conserved. LGALSL may play a significant role in stimulating smooth muscle growth in developing alveolar wall vessels and the development of pulmonary capillaries.

Description:
Beta-actin Antibody: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity, processes that are crucial for tissue development and the development of organism. The actin cytoskeleton is one of the principal drivers of cell motility and is capable of responding to complex signaling cascades. Recent evidence suggests that it may play key roles in regulating apoptosis and aging. Beta actin is one of six different actin isoforms which have been identified. Like GAPDH, beta-actin is constitutively expressed at high levels in almost all tissues and cell lines making it ideal for use as a loading control marker in immunoblots.

Description:
CLDN11 belongs to the claudin family of tight junction associated proteins and is a major component of central nervous system myelin that is necessary for normal CNS function. There is growing evidence that the protein determines the permeability between layers of myelin sheaths via focal adhesion and, with its expression highly regulated during development, may play an important role in cellular proliferation and migration. In addition, the protein is a candidate autoantigen in the development of autoimmune demyelinating disease. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the claudin family of tight junction associated proteins and is a major component of central nervous system myelin that is necessary for normal CNS function. FOXP4 belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. Forkhead box transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during both development and adulthood. Many members of the forkhead box gene family, including members of subfamily P, have roles in mammalian oncogenesis. Description:
Ephrin-A5 (EFNA5) belongs to the ephrin family, contains 1 ephrin RBD (ephrin receptor-binding) domain. Ephrin-A5 is a cell surface GPI-bound ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. It binds promiscuously Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signalling into neighboring cells. The interaction of EFNA5 with EPHA5 also mediates communication between pancreatic islet cells to regulate glucose-stimulated insulin secretion. Cognate/functional ligand for EPHA7, their interaction regulates brain development modulating cell-cell adhesion and repulsion.

Description:
Many vertebrate homeo box-containing genes have been identified on the basis of their sequence similarity with Drosophila developmental genes. Members of the Dlx gene family contain a homeobox that is related to that of Distal-less (Dll), a gene expressed in the head and limbs of the developing fruit fly. The Distal-less (Dlx) family of genes comprises at least 6 different members, DLX1-DLX6. The DLX proteins are postulated to play a role in forebrain and craniofacial development.
