OCIAD1 Antibody: OCIAD1 was identified via immunoscreening of an ovarian carcinoma cDNA library from ovarian cancer patients and is expressed in multiple tissues including ovary, placenta, brain, testis, prostate, and mammary gland. Two isoforms of OCIAD1 are known to exist; the shorter isoform is restricted to the central nervous system. OCIAD1 is a transmembrane protein whose overexpression in HEY ovarian cancer cells increased lysophosphatidic acid- (LPA-)induced, but not basal level cell adhesion to extracellular matrix proteins collagen I and laminin10/11. This adhesion is not blocked by LY294002 and GF109203X, suggesting that OCIAD1 does not use protein kinase C and PI3 kinase signaling pathways to exert its effect on adhesion.

The GL-1 monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with the mouse B7-2 (also known as CD86), a costimulatory molecule expressed by B and T lymphocytes, macrophages (thioglycollate-induced from peritoneum), astrocytes and dendritic cells. The memory CD4+ T lymphocytes express CD86 (as mRNA and protein). CD86, and the B7-1 (CD 80) molecule, are ligands for CD152 and CD28, and influence the costimulatory interactions between lymphocytes B and T. B7-2 is also involved in the mouse natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The GL-1 antibody blocks the mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) and inhibits the T-cells stimulation by antigen-presenting cells. Mixtures of anti-B7-1 antibody and GL-1 were reported to inhibit the interaction between CD125 and its ligand with the in vivo priming of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

FLIP is an apoptosis regulator protein which functions as a crucial link between cell survival and cell death pathways in mammalian cells and acts as an inhibitor of TNFRSF6 mediated apoptosis. A proteolytic fragment (p43) is likely retained in the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) thereby blocking further recruitment and processing of caspase-8 at the complex. Full length and shorter isoforms have been shown either to induce apoptosis or to reduce TNFRSF-triggered apoptosis. FLIP lacks enzymatic (caspase) activity. FLIP is highly expressed in skeletal muscle, pancreas, heart, kidney, placenta and peripheral blood leukocytes.

PGCC1 Antibody: The transcription factor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARg) plays essential roles in adipogenesis by regulating adipocyte-specific genes through association of various co-factors. One such co-factor, PGCC1 (also known as FAM120B), is widely expressed in adult tissues and throughout embryonic development. Overexpression of this protein in OP9 pre-adipocytes promoted their differentiation into adipocytes, and knockdown of PGCC1 expression through RNA interference blocked this process. PGCC1 is homologous to C9orf10 (also known as FAM120A) and has been mapped to chromosome Xp11.22. At least two isoforms of PGCC1 are known to exist.

BCL2A1s a member of the BCL-2 protein family. The proteins of this family form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- and pro-apoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular activities such as embryonic development, homeostasis and tumorigenesis. The protein encoded by this gene is able to reduce the release of pro-apoptotic cytochrome c from mitochondria and block caspase activation. APOBEC3G Antibody: The Apoliprotein B mRNA-editing, enzyme-catalytic, polypeptide-like (APOBEC) 3 is a multi-isoform member of the cytidine deaminase family of enzymes that act on monomeric nucleoside and nucleotide substrates. Similar to TRIM5 alpha which targets incoming retroviral capsids, APOBEC3 plays a major role in cellular defense against retroviral infection as at least two isoforms, APOBEC3G and to a lesser extent APOBEC3F, can be incorporated HIV-1 virions and induce hypermutation in the newly synthesized viral DNA and thus destabilize the viral genome. This innate mechanism of retroviral resistance is counteracted by the HIV-1 Vif protein by inducing the ubiquitization and degradation of APOBEC3G; a single amino acid substitution (D128K) blocks APOBEC3G depletion without affecting its inhibitory activity.
