Cyclin G2 may play a role in growth regulation and in negative regulation of cell cycle progesssion. Cyclin G2 expression levels increase through the cell cycle to peak in the mid/late-S phase and decrease during G2/M phase. It may also contribute in maintaining the quiescent state of differentiated cells. Cyclin G2 is similar to cyclin A in the cyclin box, although no kinase activity is detected.

This integral membrane glycoprotein of approximately 58 kDa contains four external domains (D1 to D4) that show homology to members of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. Recognizes a protein of 95 kDa, which is identified as Bcl-6. Antibody to bcl-6 is helpful in a number of diagnostic settings: (1) In the differential diagnosis of small B-cell lymphoma. Cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) influence cell growth, differentiation, embryogenesis, immune response and cancer metastasis by networking information from the extracellular matrix to the cell. The four major families of cell adhesion molecules are immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily (calcium-independent transmembrane glycoproteins), integrins (transmembrane non-covalently linked heterodimers of Alpha and Beta subunits), calcium-dependent cadherins and divalent cation-dependent selectins. Regulation of neuronal synaptic adhesion by CAMs has proven important for learning and memory. Proper embryonic morphogenic development is also heavily dependent on the regulation of cell adhesion molecules. Neurotrimin (hNT) is a neural cell adhesion molecule localizing to the cell membrane, where it acts as a lipid-anchor. Neurotrimin belongs to the IgLON family of proteins, a member of the larger immunoglobulin superfamily.

Voltage-sensitive calcium channels (VSCC) mediate the entry of calcium ions into excitable cells and are also involved in a variety of calcium-dependent processes, including muscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release, gene expression, cell motility, cell division and cell death. The isoform alpha-1G gives rise to T-type calcium currents. T-type calcium channels belong to the "low-voltage activated (LVA)" group and are strongly blocked by mibefradil. A particularity of this type of channel is an opening at quite negative potentials and a voltage-dependent inactivation. T-type channels serve pacemaking functions in both central neurons and cardiac nodal cells and support calcium signaling in secretory cells and vascular smooth muscle. They may also be involved in the modulation of firing patterns of neurons which is important for information processing as well as in cell growth processes.

Chlorimuron-ethyl is a member of sulfonylurea herbicides used wildly for pre- and post-emergence control of broad-leaved weeds in soybeans maize peanuts beans and other crops. It is characterised by very low application rates high herbicidal activity good crop selectivity and low toxicity. Chlorimuron-ethyl is an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor that acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of the essential amino acids like valine leucine and isoleucine. This stops the plant growth as cell division of growing roots and shoots tips are inhibited.
