Description:
The insulin-like growth factors possess growth-promoting activity. In vitro, they are potent mitogens for cultured cells. IGF-II is influenced by placental lactogen and may play a role in fetal development. Preptin undergoes glucose-mediated co-secretion with insulin, and acts as physiological amplifier of glucose-mediated insulin secretion. Exhibits osteogenic properties by increasing osteoblast mitogenic activity through phosphoactivation of MAPK1 and MAPK3.

Description:
KIF7 is a 1,343 amino acid protein expressed in embryonic stem cells, melanotic melanoma and Jurkat T-cells. KIF7 is a member of the KIF27 subfamily of the kinesin-like protein family and contains one kinesin-motor domain. It is suggested that KIF7 may participate in the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway by regulating the proteolysis and stability of GLI transcription factors. Hedgehog (Hh) signaling plays a critical role in embryonic development.

Description:
Transcriptional cofactor that restricts GATA6 function by inhibiting DNA-binding, resulting in repression of GATA6 transcriptional activation of downstream target genes. Represses GATA6-mediated trans activation of lung- and cardiac tissue-specific promoters. Inhibits DNA-binding by GATA4 and GATA1 to the cTNC promoter (By similarity). Plays a critical role in the development of cardiac hypertrophy via activation of calcineurin/nuclear factor of activated T cells signaling pathway.

Description:
The 1A8 antibody binds to mouse Ly-6G, commonly known as Gr-1, a member of the Ly-6 superfamily of GPI-anchored cell surface proteins with roles in cell signaling and cell adhesion. Gr-1 is differentially expressed during development and maturation of cells in the myeloid lineage and is expression at varying stages and levels on monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and peripheral neutrophils.

Description:
Receptor tyrosine kinase that transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to hepatocyte growth factor/HGF ligand. Regulates many physiological processes including proliferation, scattering, morphogenesis and survival. Ligand binding at the cell surface induces autophosphorylation of MET on its intracellular domain that provides docking sites for downstream signaling molecules. Following activation by ligand, interacts with the PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, STAT3 or the adapter GAB1. Recruitment of these downstream effectors by MET leads to the activation of several signaling cascades including the RAS-ERK, PI3 kinase-AKT, or PLCgamma-PKC. The RAS-ERK activation is associated with the morphogenetic effects while PI3K/AKT coordinates prosurvival effects. During embryonic development, MET signaling plays a role in gastrulation, development and migration of muscles and neuronal precursors, angiogenesis and kidney formation. In adults, participates in wound healing as well as organ regeneration and tissue remodeling. Promotes also differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic cells. Acts as a receptor for Listeria internalin inlB, mediating entry of the pathogen into cells.

Description:
Netrin proteins are a family of laminin-related secreted proteins that provide guidance signals for axonal growth and cell migration during development. Netrin Signalling is dependent on the concentration of calcium outside the cell and the level of PKA activity. In axonal cells, a reduction in PKA activity converts the responsiveness of the axons to the netrin proteins as the cells are repelled, rather than attracted, by the netrin gradient. Neogenin serves as the primary guidance receptor for netrin-3. Netrin-2 and the corresponding mouse homolog netrin-3 are expressed primarily in the lower two-thirds of the spinal cord, and, like netrin-1, they can either attract or repel commissural axons at a distance. Netrin-3 proteins are associated with the axon fibers projecting from motor neurons and from neurons within sympathetic and sensory ganglia, suggesting that netrin-3 may be involved in pathfinding and fasciculation of axon projection. Neogenin serves as the primary guidance receptor for netrin-3. During peripheral nerve development, high netrin-3 expression has been detected in mesenchymal cells, sensory ganglia and muscles. In humans, the gene encoding for the netrin-3 protein is localised to chromosome 16p13.3.

Description:
DIO2 belongs to the iodothyronine deiodinase family and is responsible for the deiodination of T4 (3,5,3',5'-tetraiodothyronine) into T3 (3,5,3'-triiodothyronine). It is essential for providing the brain with appropriate levels of T3 during the critical period of development. DIO2 is expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, placenta, fetal brain and several regions of the adult brain. There are two named isoforms.
