Alpha 1,4-N-acetylflucosaminyltransferase (Alpha4Gn-T) mediates the biosynthesis of mucin type glycoprotein (O-glycan). Alpha4Gn-T acts as the key enzyme for the formation of the unique glycan GlcNAcalpha1-4Galbeta1-R, and most efficiently transfers N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) to core 2 branched O-glycans. Alpha4Gn-T is a single-pass type II membrane protein associated with the Golgi apparatus and contains the conserved DXD motif involved in catalytic activity. It is expressed in stomach and pancreas, as well as in gastric cancer cells. Alpha4Gn-T is not expressed in peripheral blood cells, making it a useful biomarker for pancreatic cancer. Alpha4Gn-T and Mucin 6 expression is upregulated in the gastric mucosa of H.pylori infected patients, which suggest the involvement of ?Gn-T in defense against H. pylori infection.

This conjugate is prepared by labeling polyclonal goat anti-GST IgG (H+L) with CF™594 dye. CF™594 (Ex/Em 593/614 nm) is a deep-red dye spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor® 594 and Texas Red® dye but yields much brighter protein conjugates due to its high quantum yield and exceptional water solubility. CF™594 also has excellent photostability ideal for demanding applications, such as confocal microscopy and single molecule imaging.

NEPH2 is a 778 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the nephrin-like protein family and immunoglobulin superfamily. Expressed in both fetal and adult brain, as well as podocytes of kidney glomeruli, NEPH2 contains five Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and is thought to plaly a role in the hematopoetic supportive capacity of stroma cells. NEPH2 undergoes alternative splicing to produce two isoforms and contains a C-terminal cytoplasmic domain which it uses to interact with Podocin, a podocyte protein involved in ultrafiltration. Defects in the gene encoding NEPH2 are associated with mental retardation autosomal dominant type 4 (MRD4).

Dextran is branched polysaccharide made up of linear α (1→6) linked glucose units and α (1→3) link initiated branches; it ranges in size from 10,000 to 150,000 Kd.Depending upon its molecular weight it has different uses in different fields.

Gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) acts as a glutathionase and catalyzes the transfer of the glutamyl moiety of glutathione to a variety of amino acids and dipeptide acceptors. This enzyme is located on the outer surface of the cell membrane and is widely distributed in mammalian tissues involved in absorption and secretion. In humans, hepatic GGT activity is elevated in some liver diseases. GGT1 is released into the bloodstream after liver damage, and an elevated level of the enzyme may be a useful early sign of hepatocellular carcinoma. GGT5 converts leukotriene C4 to leukotriene D4; it does not, however, convert synthetic substrates that are commonly used to assay GGT. In human serum and in human tissues, there is a marked heterogeneity in GGT, but this heterogeneity can be attributed to different glycosylation of the same peptide rather than to the products of different genes. Belonging to the gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase family, GGT6 (gamma-glutamyltransferase 6), is a 493 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein that cleaves glutathione conjugates.
