Slitrk4 Antibody: SLIT and NTRK-like family 4 (Slitrk4) is a member a protein family consisting of six homologous transmembrane proteins (Slitrk1-6) that share two conserved leucine-rich repeat domains in the extracellular domain and have significant homology to Slit, a secreted axonal growth-controlling protein. These proteins are also homologous to trk neurotrophin receptors in their intracellular domains. Expression of Slitrk proteins is highly restricted to neural and brain tumor tissues, but varies within the protein family. Like every other Slitrk protein except Slitrk1, overexpression of Slitrk4 inhibited neurite outgrowth in cultured neurons, suggesting that these proteins are involved in the control of neurite outgrowth.

SH3BP4 Antibody: SH3BP4 was initially isolated as a novel cDNA using differential display analysis using cultured human corneal fibroblasts. The protein contains three Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, an SH3 domain, a PXXP motif, a bipartite nuclear targeting signal, and a tyrosine phosphorylation site. SH3BP4 has been shown to interact with specific endocytic proteins such as clathrin, dynamin, and the transferrin receptor (TfR) and localizes to TfR-containing coated pits and vesicles. It is thought to be involved in cargo-specific control of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, specifically controlling the internalization of TfR. At least two isoforms of SH3BP4 are known to exist.

Description:
Agar is a polysaccharide complex extracted by bleaching and hot water treatment of agarocytes from the red alga Rhodophyceae, and usually consisting of the genera Gelidium, Acanthopeltis, Ceramium, Pterocladia and Gracilaria. The algae are typically found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans and in the Sea of Japan. It is primarily composed of two different units: Agarose and Agaropectin; Agarose is a neutral gelling component which is composed of a linear polymer of alternating D-galactose and 3,6-anhydrogalactose units. Agaropectin is a non-gelling component which consists of D-1,3-glycosidically linked D-galactose units, some of which are sulfated at the 6th position.
Agar is specially purified for use in preparing solid culture media for microbiological and bacteriological applications.

Thioglycolate can also protect enzymes against inactivation by maintaining protein thiol groups in the reduced state. Thioglycolate medium is frequently used in inflammation research to elicit a neutrophil and macrophage response in vivo.
Thioglycolic acid protects tryptophan in amino acid analysis,and also mediates formation of ATP from ADP. It lowers the oxidation-reduction potential and neutralises mercurial preservatives. An inhibitor of fatty acid oxidation. An agent that prevents the metabolism of fatty acids and stimulates feeding. The sodium salt form is typically used in production of bacteriological culture media.

Description:
Proteinase K is a highly active stable endopeptidase with a broad spectrum of action was isolated by E. Merk's Darmstadt Biochemical Research Department in 1970 from a culture filtrate of the fungus, Tritirachium album Limber. This fungus is able to grow on Keratin (e.g., wool, horn particles) as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen. The isolated protease was, therefore, given the K designation.
Proteinase K is a stable and highly reactive serine protease. Evidence from crystal and molecular structure studies indicates the enzyme belongs to the subtilisin family with an active-site catalytic triad (Asp39-His69-Ser224). It is stable in a broad range of environments: pH, buffer salts, detergents (SDS), and temperature. In the presence of 0,1 to 0,5% SDS, proteinase K retains activity and will digest a variety of proteins and nucleases in DNA preparations without compromising the integrity of the isolated DNA.
