Description:
This gene encodes a protein that binds to the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A proteins. This phosphoprotein is a transcriptional repressor and may play a role during cellular proliferation. This protein and the product of a second closely related gene, CTBP2, can dimerize. Both proteins can also interact with a polycomb group protein complex which participates in regulation of gene expression during development. Alternative splicing of transcripts from this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

Description:
Stimulating T cells with HIV-1 (B Gag) peptide pool releases downstream cytokines and upregulates activation markers, enabling antigen-specific T cells to be detected or isolated for analysis. HIV-1 (B Gag) Peptide Pool is a lyophilised mixture of 123 peptides from the gag polyprotein of human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1). The pool consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 500 on gag polyprotein. The HIV-1 gag polyprotein is a key mediator of viral particle assembly (Campbell and Rein; Dong <i>et al.</i>), and together with the endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT), results in budding during virion release (Carlson <i>et al.</i>). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

VZV (IE63) peptide pool is a lyophilised mixture of 67 peptides from the transcriptional regulator ICP22 homolog (IE63) of Varicella-zoster virus (VZV; strain Oka vaccine), and consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 to 278 on IE63. Expressed during VZV latency and reactivation (Lungu <i>et al.</i>), IE63 demonstrates repressive activity in both the cytoplasm and nucleus of infected cells (Bontems <i>et al.</i>). Host interferon alpha (IFN-α) activity is inhibited by VZV IE63, which likely contributes to VZV pathogenesis (Ambagala and Cohen). Viral peptide pools are useful for a broad range of applications, including vaccine development, immunological research, and diagnostic assay development.

DISP1 Antibody: DISP1 is the mammalian homolog of the Drosophila Dispatched segment-polarity gene and a key regulator of the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway during embryonic development. DISP1 is required to move Shh from site of synthesis during embryogenesis; mutations in the gene result in lethality at mid-gestation and prevents specification of ventral cell types in the neural tube. Recent results have shown that DISP1 mediates the basolateral secretion of Shh and regulates growth of mammalian long bones through the control of Ihh.
