Description:
Dact2 Antibody: The Wnt signaling cascade is a conserved process in multicellular animals that plays important roles during development and can contribute to cancer and other diseases. Many members of this pathway are also expressed in the postnatal tissues such as brain. One such protein is Dact2, a member of the Dact protein family that was initially identified through binding to Disheveled (Dvl), a cytoplasmic protein essential to Wnt signaling. Dact2 is most prominent during the development of the thymus kidneys, and salivary gland. Dact2 is thought to play a role distinct from that of Dact1 with Dact2 having a greater impact on a beta-catenin-independent process termed planar cell polarity/convergent-extension signaling. Furthermore, Dact2 but not Dact1 can inhibit Nodal signaling by promoting the endocytic degradation of TGF-beta receptors. At least two isoforms of Dact2 are known to exist.

Description:
ZFP36L2 is a member of the TIS11 family of early response genes. Family members are induced by various agonists such as the phorbol ester TPA and the polypeptide mitogen EGF. The encoded protein contains a distinguishing putative zinc finger domain with a repeating cys-his motif. This putative nuclear transcription factor most likely functions in regulating the response to growth factors. This gene is a member of the TIS11 family of early response genes. Sequence Note: The RefSeq transcript and protein were derived from transcript and genomic sequence to make the sequence consistent with the reference genome assembly. The genomic coordinates used for the transcript record were based on alignments.

Description:
TFAP2C is a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor involved in the activation of several developmental genes. The protein can act as either a homodimer or heterodimer with other family members and is induced during retinoic acid-mediated differentiation. It plays a role in the development of the eyes, face, body wall, limbs, and neural tube. Description:
ASC Antibody: Apoptosis is regulated by death domain (DD) and/or caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules and a caspase family of proteases. CARD containing cell death regulators include RAIDD, RICK, BCL10, Apaf-1, ARC, caspase-9, and caspase-2. A novel CARD domain containing protein was recently identified in human and mouse and designated ASC and TMS1. Ectopic expression of ASC/TMS1 induced apoptosis through activation of caspase-9 and inhibited the survival of human breast cancer cells (3, 4). Overexpression of ASC/TMS1 induced DNA fragmentation. ASC/TMS1 is expressed in a variety of human and mouse tissues.

Description:
AIFM3 Antibody: Apoptosis, also known as programmed cell death, plays major roles in development and normal tissue turnover in addition to tumor formation. Recently a protein similar to the apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) was cloned and designated AIFL (also known as AIFM3). AIFM3 is expressed ubiquitously and is predominantly localized to the inner membranes of mitochondria. Unlike AIF, AIFM3 does not translocate to the nucleus upon induction of apoptosis. However, overexpression of AIFM3, like AIF, induced cytochrome c release from the mitochondria, cleavage of caspase 3, and ultimately apoptosis, indicating AIFM3 induces apoptosis through caspase activation. Multiple isoforms of AIFM3 are known to exist.
