Description:
NXF5 is one member of a family of nuclear RNA export factors. Common domain features of this family are a noncanonical RNP-type RNA-binding domain (RBD), 4 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs), a nuclear transport factor 2 (NTF2)-like domain that allows heterodimerization with NTF2-related export protein-1 (NXT1), and a ubiquitin-associated domain that mediates interactions with nucleoporins. The LRRs and NTF2-like domains are required for export activity. This gene is one member of a family of nuclear RNA export factor genes. Alternative splicing seems to be a common mechanism in this gene family. Five transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Description:
Low Molecular Weight Phosphotyrosine Protein Phosphatase (LMW-PTP) is a member of the low molecular weight phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase family. LMW-PTP serves as an acid phosphatase and a protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTPase) by hydrolyzing protein tyrosine phosphate to protein tyrosine and orthophosphate. LMW-PTP can be detected in all human tissues, including adipocytes. LMW-PTP is a cytosolic enzyme that regulate cell proliferation and growth of leiomyomas during dephosphorylation of the PDGF receptor. In addition, LMW-PTP plays an important role in the regulation of physiological functions, such as stress resistance and synthesis of the polysaccharide capsule.

Description:
KLB is a single-pass type III membrane protein. It contributes to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis. KLB is probably inactive as a glycosidase. It increases the ability of FGFR1 and FGFR4 to bind FGF21.

Description:
FOXO4 Antibody: FOXO4 is a ubiquitously expressed protein member of a subfamily of the forkhead homeotic gene family of transcription factors and shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus. FOXO transcription factors are key players of cell fate decisions, metabolism, stress resistance, tumor suppression and are regulated by growth factors, oxidative stress or nutrient deprivation. In the absence of PI3K/AKT activation, FOXO4 localizes in the nucleus where it functions as a transcription factor. FOXO4 can also be phosphorylated by JNK following induction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), resulting in transcriptional activation and the induction of a negative feedback mechanism to counteract the ROS. It is through this mechanism that FOXO4 is thought to sensitize cancer cells to doxorubicin-mediated toxicity.

Description:
TEM7 Antibody: Tumor endothelial marker 7 (TEM7) was identified through serial analysis of gene expression on endothelial cells isolated from human normal and malignant colorectal tissues. Further experiments verified TEM7 was highly expressed in the endothelium of numerous other cancer types including breast, lung and brain tumors. At least four isoforms of TEM7 are known to exist; these include intracellular, secreted, and membrane-bound forms. A homologous protein, TEM7R (also known as PLXDC2), acts as a binding partner to TEM7 and is also abundantly expressed in the endothelium of malignant colorectal cancer but is absent or rare in normal colon mucosa. High expression of TEM7 is associated with metastasis and poor survival of patients with osteogenic sarcoma.

Description:
CDNF Antibody: The conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) is a neurotrophic factor for dopaminergic neurons and highly homologous to the mesencephalic-astrocyte-derived neuro-trophic factor. Somewhat surprisingly, CDCF is expressed at higher levels in tissues such as heart, skeletal muscle and testes than in brain. Similar to the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), CDNF can prevent the 6-hydroxylamine (6-OHDA)-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in a rat model of Parkinson's disease. Furthermore, CDNF was able to restore the dopaminergic function and prevent the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, suggesting that CDNF might be suitable for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. At least two isoforms of CDNF are known to exist.

Description:
COLEC12 encodes a member of the C-lectin family, proteins that possess collagen-like sequences and carbohydrate recognition domains. This protein is a scavenger receptor, a cell surface glycoprotein that can bind to carbohydrate antigens on microorganisms facilitating their recognition and removal. In addition, these receptors can recognize oxidized phospholipids so they may also participate in removing oxidatively damaged or apoptotic cells.
