Description:   This is a calcium-independent, phospholipid-dependent, serine- and threonine-specific enzyme. Essential for T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T-cell activation, but is dispensable during TCR-dependent thymocyte development. Links the TCR signaling complex to the activation of NF-κ-B in mature T lymphocytes. Required for interleukin-2 (IL2) production. PKC is activated by diacylglycerol which in turn phosphorylates a range of cellular proteins. PKC also serves as the receptor for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters.

Description:   Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 3, also known as Lymphotoxin-beta receptor,Tumor necrosis factor C receptor,Tumor necrosis factor receptor 2-related protein,Tumor necrosis factor receptor type III,LTBR,TNFCR, TNFR3 and TNFRSF3, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family of receptors. LTBR is a single-pass type I membrane protein and contains four TNFR-Cys repeats. It is expressed on the surface of most cell types, but not on T and B lymphocytes. LTBR and its ligand play a role in the development and organization of lymphoid tissue and transformed cells. Activation of LTBR can trigger apoptosis. In addition, LTBR can lead to the release of the cytokine interleukin 8.

Description:   Mcl-1 Antibody: Myeloid cell leukimia-1 (Mcl-1) is a member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins that can act to promote cell survival. While the mechanism by which Mcl-1 inhibits apoptosis is not known, it is thought that it may heterodimerize and neutralize pro-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family such as Bim or Bak. Mcl-1 was originally identified in differentiating myeloid cells, but has since been shown to be expressed in multiple cell types. Mcl-1 is essential for embryogenesis and for the development and maintenance of B and T lymphocytes in animals. Mcl-1 exists as at least two distinct isoforms designated Mcl-1L and Mcl-1S. In marked contrast to the larger isoform of Mcl-1, overexpression of Mcl-1S promotes cell death.

Description:   Anosmin Antibody: Mutations in Anosmin-1, an extracellular matrix-associated glycosylated protein, have been linked with Kallmann Syndrome (KS), an X-linked genetic disorder characterized by loss of smell caused by abnormal olfactory bulb development and delayed puberty caused by disrupted migration of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone neuron. Anosmin-1 has been shown to directly bind FGFR1 via its N-terminal cysteine-rich domain, whey-acidic protein-like domain, and its first FnIII repeat with the D2 and D3 ectodomains of FGFR1. It is thought that Anosmin-1 can modulate FGFR1 signaling and have opposing effects on the formation and activation of FGF2-FGFR1-heparing complex.

Description:   IDH1 Antibody: Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes belong to two distinct subclasses, one of which utilizes NAD(+) as the electron acceptor and the other NADP(+). Two NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases have been found as homodimer: IDH1 is predominantly cytosolic and peroxisomal and IDH2 is mitochondrial. The presence of IDH1 in peroxisomes suggests it may play a role in the regeneration of NADPH for intraperoxisomal reductions, such as the conversion of 2, 4-dienoyl-CoAs to 3-enoyl-CoAs, as well as in peroxisomal reactions that consume 2-oxoglutarate, namely the alpha-hydroxylation of phytanic acid. The cytoplasmic IDH1 serves a significant role in cytoplasmic NADPH production. Defects in IDH1 are involved in the development of glioma.

Description:   FEZ1 Antibody: Similar to its C. elegans homolog UNC-76, mammalian FEZ1, an abundant membrane protein and protein kinase C (PKC)-Z substrate, is involved in axonal guidance. Following phosphorylation by PKC-Z, FEZ1 translocates from the plasma membrane to the cytoplasm. FEZ1 is then able to interact with a number of proteins involved in axonal outgrowth and cellular transport such as DISC1, a candidate gene for schizophrenia, as well as kinesin-1, a microtubule-based motor protein. FEZ1 also interacts with proteins involved in transcriptional regulation and chromatin remodeling, suggesting that FEZ1 may have nuclear regulatory functions in addition to those for neuronal development. At least two distinct isoforms of FEZ1 are known to exist.

Description:   Toll-like receptor 2; toll/interleukin 1 receptor-like 4 [Homo sapiens]. This protein is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. TLR2 gene is expressed most abundantly in peripheral blood leukocytes, and mediates host response to Gram-positive bacteria and yeast via stimulation of NF-κB.

Description:   JMJD6 Antibody: The jumonji domain-containing protein (JMJD) family is defined by the presence of the JmjC domain that is observed in several diverse species. JMJD6 was initially identified as a membrane protein that participates in phagocytosis but recent studies have shown that it has other functions when it is expressed in the cytosol and nucleus. JMJD6 is thought to play important roles in regulation of development and differentiation as knockdown experiments in mice resulted in neonatal lethality with severe defects in the morphology of numerous organs. JMJD6 also can catalyze the lysyl-hydroxylation of U2AF65, a protein involved with RNA splicing, suggesting that some of the functions attributed to JMJD6 may be due to its regulatory activity of RNA splicing.

Description:   Transforming growth factor beta-2 (TGF- beta 2) is a secreted protein which belongs to the TGF-beta family. It is known as a cytokine that performs many cellular functions and has a vital role during embryonic development. The precursor is cleaved into mature TGF-beta-2 and LAP, which remains non-covalently linked to mature TGF-beta-2 rendering it inactive. It is an extracellular glycosylated protein. It is known to suppress the effects of interleukin dependent T-cell tumours. Defects in TGFB2 may be a cause of non-syndromic aortic disease (NSAD).

Description:   Fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF-4) is a secreted growth factor that is predominantly expressed during bone morphogenesis and embryonic limb development. FGF-4 is an important growth regulator for stem cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. FGF-4 contains a single N-linked glycosylation signal. In-vitro studies suggest that unglycosylated FGF-4 is cleaved into 13 kDa and 15 kDa truncated proteins that have greater biological activity than the wild type 19 kDa FGF-4 protein. Human FGF-4 shares high homology and is cross-reactive with mouse FGF-4.

Description:   TNFRSF11B is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This protein is an osteoblast-secreted decoy receptor that functions as a negative regulator of bone resorption. This protein specifically binds to its ligand, osteoprotegerin ligand (TNFSF11/OPGL), both of which are key extracellular regulators of osteoclast development. Studies of the mouse counterpart also suggest this protein and its ligand play a role in lymph-node organogenesis and vascular calcification. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been reported, but their full length nature has not been determined.
