Description:
Human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) is also known as human BMP-2, BMP-2, BMP2, BMP 2, h-BMP-2, rh-BMP-2, recombinant human BMP-2, recombinant BMP-2, BMP, is a member of the BMP subgroup belonging to the TGF-b superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. BMP-2 is a potent osteoinductive cytokine, capable of inducing bone and cartilage formation in association with osteoconductive carriers such as collagen and synthetic hydroxyapatite. In addition to its osteogenic activity, BMP-2 plays an important role in cardiac morphogenesis and is expressed in a variety of tissues including lung, spleen, brain, liver, prostate ovary and small intestine. As implied by its name, BMPs promote and regulate bone development, growth, remodeling and repair, in both prenatal development and postnatal growth of eye, heart, kidney, skin, and other tissues. BMP2 has been demonstrated to potently induce osteoblast differentiation in a variety of cell types, and induce apoptosis in human myeloma cell lines as a novel function.

Description:
Ephrin type-B receptor 4(EPHB4) is also known as HTK, MYK1 and TYRO11,is a member of Eph family. The Eph family of receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. Ephrin receptors make up the largest subgroup of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. The protein encoded by EPHB4 binds to Ephrin-B2 and plays an essential role in vascular development. EPHB4 and its ligand ephrin-B2 are specifically expressed on venous and arterial endothelial cells, respectively, and play an essential role in vascular development via bidirectional signals. The forward EPHB4 signaling inhibits cell adhesion, chemotaxis, angiogenesis and tumor growth. Incontrast, the reverse Ephrin-B2 signaling exerts the opposite effect. It has been reported that aberrant expression of EPHB4 is associated with prostate cancer and highly malignant breast cancers, accordingly, EPHB4 has potential application as a therapeutic candidate.

Sonic Hedgehog Homolog (SHH) belongs to a three-protein family called Hedgehog. The other two family members are Indian Hedgehog (IHH) and Desert Hedgehog (DHH). Hedgehog proteins are key signaling molecules in embryonic development. SHH is expressed in various embryonic tissues and plays critical roles in regulating the patterning of many systems, such as limbs and brain. SHH also plays an important role in adult, including the division of adult stem cells and the development of certain cancers and other diseases. Human SHH is expressed as a 45kDa precursor, and undergoes a series of processing during secretion. After the removal of the signal peptide, a protease within the C-terminal domain catalyzes the cleavage of SHH into a 20 kDa N-terminal signaling domain (SHH-N) and a 25 kDa C-terminal domain (SHH-C). SHH-N has the “all signaling” capability. SHH-N binds to the 12 pass transmembrane protein Patched (Ptc) on cell surface, which releases the repression of the activity of Smoothened (Smo), a G-protein coupled receptor, by Ptc.

Sera-Mag Oligo(dT)-Coated Magnetic Particles enable convenient mRNA isolation and extraction. Sera-Mag Oligo(dT) Magnetic Particles bind target mRNA through pairing of the polyadenylated RNA tail found on the 3' end of mRNA to the covalently bound oligo(dT) groups on the surface of the particles. This binding is easily accomplished using standard hybridisation conditions. Versatile and efficient methods for mRNA purification are critical, given that eukaryotic mRNA makes up only 1 to 3% of total cellular RNA. Sera-Mag Oligo(dT) magnetic particles remove 90% or more of mRNA from total RNA with just one extraction.

PAX genes contain paired domains with strong homology to genes in Drosophila, which are involved in programming early development. Lesions in the PAX6 gene account for most cases of aniridia, a congenital malformation of the eye, chiefly characterised by iris hypoplasia, which can cause blindness. PAX6 is involved in other anterior segment malformations besides aniridia, such as Peters’ anomaly, a major error in the embryonic development of the eye with corneal clouding with variable iridolenticulocorneal adhesions. The PAX6 gene encodes a transcriptional regulator that recognises target genes through its paired-type DNA-binding domain. The paired domain is composed of two distinct DNA-binding subdomains, the amino-terminal subdomain and the carboxy-terminal subdomain, which bind respective consensus DNA sequences. The human PAX6 gene produces two alternatively spliced isoforms that have the distinct structure of the paired domain.
