Description:
Recognises an 85-115 kDa protein (variation with cell type), identified as intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM-1). It has 7 potential N-linked glycosylation sites. ICAM1 is a single chain glycoprotein of Ig supergene family, present on unstimulated endothelial cells (EC) and on a variety of other cell types including activated fibroblasts, EC, macrophages, and lymphocytes. ICAM1 mediates cell adhesion by binding to integrins CD11a/CD18 (leukocyte adhesion molecule, LFA-1) and to CD11b/CD18 (Mac-1). This interaction enhances antigen-specific T-cell activation. ICAM1 also binds to CD43 and to Plasmodium falciparum infected RBCs and may also be related to progression and metastasis of tumors.

Its expression is a hallmark for identifying pluripotent hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells. Its expression is gradually lost as lineage committed progenitors differentiate. CD34 is a marker of choice for staining blasts in acute myeloid leukemia. In addition, it is expressed by soft tissue tumors, such as solitary fibrous tumor and gastrointestinal stromal tumor. CD34 expression is also found in vascular endothelium. Additionally, it appears that proliferating endothelial cells overexpress this molecule than the non-proliferating endothelial cells. Anti-CD34 labels > 85% of angiosarcoma and Kaposi’s sarcoma, but shows low specificity.

CD45RO is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis, and oncogenic transformation. CD45RO contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus is classified as a receptor type PTP. It has been shown to be an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. It functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. It also suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. [RefSeq].

Recognises a single chain glycoprotein of 105/120 kDa, identified as CD30/Ki-1. CD30 is synthesised as a 90 kDa precursor, which is processed in the Golgi complex into a membrane-bound phosphorylated mature 105/120 kDa glycoprotein. In Hodgkin s disease, CD30/Ki-1 antigen is expressed by mononuclear-Hodgkin and multinucleated Reed-Sternberg cells. It is also expressed by the tumor cells of a majority of anaplastic large cell lymphomas as well as by a varying proportion of activated T and B cells. This mAb distinguishes large cell lymphomas derived from activated lymphoid cells from histiocytic malignancies and lymphomas derived from resting and precursor lymphoid cells or from anaplastic carcinomas. About one third of the Ki-1 positive lymphomas lack the leukocyte common antigen (CD45).

Activin Receptor Type-1B (ACVR1B) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. ACVR1B contains one GS domain and one protein kinase domain and is expressed in many tissues, most strongly in kidney, pancreas, brain, lung, and liver. ACVR1B acts as a transducer of activin or activin like ligands signals. Activin binds to either ACVR2A or ACVR2B and then forms a complex with ACVR1B, ACVR2A or ACVR2B activating ACVR1B through phosphorylation of its regulatory GS domain. They go on to recruit the R-SMADs, SMAD2 and SMAD3. ACVR1B also transducers signals of nodal, GDF-1, and Vg1. Mutations in ACVR1B are associated with pituitary tumors.

CD99 antigen is also known as MIC2, single-chain type-1 glycoprotein, HBA71, MIC2X, MIC2Y, MSK5X, 12E7, which belongs to the CD99 family. CD99 / MIC2 is expressed on all leukocytes but highest on thymocytes. Involved in T-cell adhesion processes and in spontaneous rosette formation with erythrocytes. CD99 / MIC2 plays a role in a late step of leukocyte extravasation helping leukocytes to overcome the endothelial basement membrane. CD99 acts at the same site as, but independently of PECAM1. There is also experimental evidence that it binds to cyclophilin A.

Interleukin-20 Receptor Subunit alpha (IL20RA) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that is a member of the type II cytokine receptor family. IL20RA is synthetized a 553 amino acid glycoprotein precursor containing a 29 amino acid signal peptide, a 221 amino acid extracellular domain with two fibronectin type-III domains, a 24 amino acid transmembrane region, and a 279 amino acid intracellular domain. IL20RA is widely expressed with highest levels found in skin and testis and high levels in brain. IL20RA forms a heterodimer with IL20RB, and the complex serves as a receptor for IL19, IL20 and IL24. IL20RA also forms a heterodimer with the unique and specific receptor IL10RB and functions as the receptor for IL26.
