The OKT4 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the CD4 receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). CD4 is a 59 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein that expressed on the surface of most of the thymocytes, T-helper cells, and in low levels on monocytes and macrophages. CD4 is a co-receptor in the antigen-induced T cell activation (together with the MHC class II). The OKT4 and the RPA-T4 monoclonal antibodies recognize different epitopes of CD4 and they do not exhibit cross-block binding.

PTPRE is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been reported, one of which encodes a receptor-type PTP that possesses a short extracellular domain, a single transmembrane region, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains; Another one encodes a PTP that contains a distinct hydrophilic N-terminus, and thus represents a nonreceptor-type isoform of this PTP. Junctional Adhesion Molecule B (JAM-B) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the juctional adhesion molecules family. JAM-B includes a signal sequence (aa 1-28), an extracellular region (aa 29-238) with one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain, a transmembrane segment (aa 239-259), and a cytoplasmic domain (aa 260 - 298). JAMB is localized to the tight junctions between endothelial cells or epithelial cells. JAM-B is prominently expressed in the heart, placenta, lung, foreskin and lymph node. It is also present on the endothelia of other vessels. JAM-B acts as an adhesive ligand for interacting with a variety of immune cell types and may play a role in lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs.

LMIR1, also termed CD300a, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein with a single IgV-like extracellular domain and an extended membrane proximal region that links the immunoglobulin (Ig) and transmembrane domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The intracellular domain of LMIR1 contains several immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibition motifs (ITIMs). When cross-linked, it will be tyrosine phosphorylated and capable of recruiting tyrosine phosphatases (SHP-1, SHP-2) and inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase, SHIP.
