OR10X1 is an odorant receptor.Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.

Interleukin 2 (IL2) is a secreted cytokine that is important for the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. The receptor of this cytokine is a heterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is also shared by interleukin 4 (IL4) and interleukin 7 (IL7). The expression of this gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, which represents an unusual regulatory mode for controlling the precise expression of a single gene. The targeted disruption of a similar gene in mice leads to ulcerative colitis like disease, which suggests an essential role of this gene in the immune response to antigenic stimuli. IL2 has been shown to have antitumor effects in some studies. This is probably mediated by cytotoxic effector cells.

Tau is a key microtubule-associated protein that plays an important role in the formation of microtubules in axons (Binder et al. 1985). Six tau isoforms have been identified as products of a single gene produced by alternative mRNA splicing (Goedert 1990). Tau mutations have been implicated in many neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Pick’s disease and progressive supranuclear palsy. It has been well documented that hyperphosphorylated tau is a major component of paired helical filaments in AD brain (Lee 1995). Serine 416 has been demonstrated to be a major phosphorylation site in vitro by CaM kinase II (Steiner at al. 1990).

CD99 antigen is also known as MIC2, single-chain type-1 glycoprotein, HBA71, MIC2X, MIC2Y, MSK5X, 12E7, which belongs to the CD99 family. CD99 / MIC2 is expressed on all leukocytes but highest on thymocytes. Involved in T-cell adhesion processes and in spontaneous rosette formation with erythrocytes. CD99 / MIC2 plays a role in a late step of leukocyte extravasation helping leukocytes to overcome the endothelial basement membrane. CD99 acts at the same site as, but independently of PECAM1. There is also experimental evidence that it binds to cyclophilin A.

SHISA4 Antibody: SHISA4 plays an essential role in the maturation of presomitic mesoderm cells by individual attenuation of both FGF and WNT signaling. The Shisa family of single-transmembrane proteins is characterized by an N-terminal cysteine-rich domain and a proline-rich C-terminal region. Its founding member, Xenopus Shisa, promotes head development by antagonizing Wnt and FGF signaling. Shisa physically interacted with immature forms of the Wnt receptor Frizzled and the FGF receptor within the ER and inhibited their posttranslational maturation and trafficking to the cell surface. Loss of Shisa function sensitized the neuroectoderm to Wnt signaling and suppressed head formation during gastrulation.
