The M1/70 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the 170 kDa alpha M integrin chain of mouse CD11b from the Mac-1 integrin (CD11b/CD18). Mac-1 binds to C3bi, CD54 (ICAM-1), and fibrinogen, and it is expressed by granulocytes, macrophages, NK cells, myeloid-derived dendritic cells, microglia, activated lymphocytes, and mouse B-1 cells. The expression is up-regulated on activated neutrophils at the same time that L-selectin is shed from the cell surface. The M1/70 antibody is used for the detection of monocytes, granulocytes, and a subset of natural killer cells in human peripheral blood.M1/70 blocks C3bi binding and cell adherence, but not cell-mediated lysis and it cross-reacts with human CD11b.

Basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-basic), also known as FGF-2, is expressed by endothelial cells and is a mediator of angiogenesis. FGF-basic also has cardioprotective functions during heart injury. FGF-basic is a critical component for embryonic stem cell culture systems and is necessary for maintaining cells in an undifferentiated state. Degredation of the full length FGF-basic N-terminus results in a truncated FGF-basic 147aa protein, when the protein is isolated from biological sources. The N-terminus extensions influence the localization of FGF-basic within the cell, but do not affect the biological activity of FGF-basic. Therefore, there are no detectable differences in biological activity between the full length FGF-basic 154aa and the truncated FGF-basic 147aa recombinant proteins.

The chemical agonists menthol functions as a gating modifier, shifting activation curves towards physiological membrane potentials. Temperature sensitivity arises from a tenfold difference in the activation energies associated with voltage-dependent opening and closing.

They are type-1 transmembrane receptors, containing extracellular leucine rich repeats and an intracellular Toll/interleukin-1 receptor (TIR) domain. PARP-1 (ARTD1) is involved in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, by catalyzing the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of a limited number of acceptor proteins involved in chromatin architecture and in DNA metabolism. BRCC36 Antibody: Together with the breast and ovarian predisposition proteins BRCA1 and BRCA2 and RAD51 and BRCC45, BRCC36 forms a holoenzyme complex that possesses a ubiquitin E3 ligase activity. Aberrant levels of BRCC36 were detected in sporadic breast tumors and depletion of either BRCC36 or BRCC45 by siRNA resulted in increased sensitivity to ionizing radiation and defects in the G2/M checkpoint, indicating that BRCC36 acts to enhance cellular survival following DNA damage. Recent experiments have shown that BRCC36 is essential for ionizing radiation-induced BRCA1 phosphorylation and nuclear foci formation, suggesting that BRCC36 may be an important target in the treatment of radiation-resistant breast tumors. At least two isoforms of BRCC36 are known to exist.
