Fatty acid-binding protein 3 (FABP3) is also known as Heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP), Mammary-derived growth inhibitor (MDGI), Muscle fatty acid-binding protein (M-FABP), FABP11, which belongs to the calycin superfamily and fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) family. FABP are thought to play a role in the intracellular transport of long-chain fatty acids and their acyl-CoA esters. H-FABP / FABP3 is involved in active fatty acid metabolism where it transports fatty acids from the cell membrane to mitochondria for oxidation. FABP3 may also contribute to AS160 phosphorylation by maintaining insulin-dependent Akt activation in the cells under a lipotoxic condition.

Description:
Cadherin-6 (CDH6) is a type-II classic cadherin cell-cell adhesion molecules, which are expressed in graded or areal patterns, as well as layer-specific patterns, in the cortical plate. Human Cadherin-6 is synthesized as a 790 aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 18 aa signal peptide, a 35 aa propeptide, a 562 aa extracellular region, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 154 aa cytoplasmic domain. There are five cadherin domains of approximately 110 aa each in the extracellular region. Cadherin-6 has high expression in kidney, brain, and cerebellum, and may contribute to the formation of the segmental structure of the early brain, as well as the development of renal proximal tubules. Weak expression is also detected in lung, pancreas, gastric mucosa and cytotrophoblasts. As a classic cadherin, Cadherin-6 will form homodimers and promote intercellular adhesion with itself and, possibly, Cadherin-9 and -14.

Activin Receptor Type-1B (ACVR1B) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. ACVR1B contains one GS domain and one protein kinase domain and is expressed in many tissues, most strongly in kidney, pancreas, brain, lung, and liver. ACVR1B acts as a transducer of activin or activin like ligands signals. Activin binds to either ACVR2A or ACVR2B and then forms a complex with ACVR1B, ACVR2A or ACVR2B activating ACVR1B through phosphorylation of its regulatory GS domain. They go on to recruit the R-SMADs, SMAD2 and SMAD3. ACVR1B also transducers signals of nodal, GDF-1, and Vg1. Mutations in ACVR1B are associated with pituitary tumors.

ANXA5 is an anticoagulant protein by acting as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex. ANXA5 is also a protein kinase C and phospholipase A2 inhibitor. It participate in inflammation, cellular signal transduction, growth and differentiation. ANXA5 binding to phosphatidylserine and sulfatide to regulates coagulability in the blood stream. It also protects sinsuoidal endothelial cells from ischemia reperfusion damage. ANXA5 is important for normal CFTR chloride channel activity.

TREML2 contains one Ig-like V-type domain, which can be induced in CD4 T-cell by concanavalin-A. As a cell surface receptor, TREML2 may play a role in the innate and adaptive immune response. TREML2 also acts as a counter-receptor for CD276 and interaction with CD276 on T-cells enhances T-cell activation. T cells require a signal induced by the engagement of the T cell receptor and a €œcostimulatory€ signal(s) through distinct T cell surface molecules for optimal T cell activation and tolerance. CD273 is one of two ligands for programmed death-1 (PD-1; CD279), a member of the CD28 family of immunoreceptors. The other identified ligand is PD-L1. CD273 is broadly expressed and also up regulated in a variety of tumour cell lines. On previously activated T cells, CD273 interaction with PD-1 inhibits TCR mediated proliferation and cytokine production, suggesting an inhibitory role in regulating immune responses. CD273 has a costimulatory function on resting T cells activated with suboptimal TCR signals.
