Description:   RWDD3 Antibody: RWDD3 (RSUME), a small RWD-containing protein, has a central role in sumoylation by enhancing SUMO conjugation in the regulatory network of immune-inflammatory signals. RWDD3 increases I kappa Beta sumoylation and stability. In addition, RWDD3 inhibits TNF-alpha -induced kappaB-LUC (Luciferase) reporter activity, showing the functional consequence of I kappa Beta increased stability. RSUME-enhanced sumoylation of I kappa Beta leads to the inhibition of NF-kappa Beta activity on two well-known inflammatory genes, IL-8 and cyclooxygenase-2 (Cox-2) and therefore may also favor anti-inflammatory pathways. Expression of RWDD3 was induced under hypoxic conditions and it has a potential role during vascularization. Both BMP-4 and RWDD3 may be interesting targets for inhibiting steps involved in pituitary tumorigenesis.

Description:   RUSC1 Antibody: RUSC1, also known as NESCA, shares with the related protein RUSC2 a common domain structure of RUN, leucine zipper and SH3 domain in addition to over 30% amino acid identity. RUSC1 is an adapter protein that can bind to the TrkA receptor and is necessary in the NGF-induced neurite growth of PC12 cells. RUSC1 has also been shown to interact with I kappa B kinase- (IKK-) gamma, the regulatory subunit of the IKK complex that is required for NF-kappa B activation in many signaling pathways such as TNF-R or the TLR pathways. RUSC1 can also bind to the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRAF6, which then catalyzes RUSC1 polyubiquitination. Description:   Mimitin Antibody: Mimitin, a small mitochondrial protein, whose transcription is directly stimulated by c-Myc, is highly expressed in 80% of esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCC). Suppression of Mimitin expression by RNA interference had no effect in cancerous cell lines such as human cervical carcinoma or hepatocarcinoma cell lines, but caused a decrease in cell proliferation in human glioblastoma, embryonic lung fibroblastic cells, and ESCC, suggesting Mimitin may play a special role in these types of cells. Mimitin expression is also regulated by MAPK kinases and IL-1, but not through the NF-kappa B-related pathway. It will interact with the microtubular protein MAP1S and can affect the activities of caspase-3 and -7 in cells stimulated to develop apoptosis. Other experiments suggest that Mimitin also acts as a molecular chaperone for the assembly of the mitochondrial complex I.

Description:   GOLPH1 Antibody: GOLPH1, also known as GCP60, was initially identified as a Golgi protein that can interact with the integral membrane protein giantin and is thought to be involved in the maintenance of the Golgi structure. GOLPH1 has also been shown to interact with other Golgi proteins such as Golgin-160, a Golgi protein that can be cleaved by caspases-2, -3, and -7, leading to the nuclear localization of Golgin-160. GOLPH1 interaction with the Golgin-160 fragments is stronger than that with the intact Golgin-160, with its interaction regulated by the oxidation state of Cys-463 within GOLPH1, suggesting that the nuclear localization of the caspase-cleaved Golgin-160 fragments is a highly coordinated event. GOLPH1 has also been found to interact with Numb, a cytosolic signaling protein that mediates asymetric cell division of neural progenitor cells to a daughter progenitor cell and a neuron, suggesting that Golgi fragmentation and reconstitution during the cell cycle differentially regulate Numb signaling through changes in GOLPH1 subcellular distribution and may couple cell fate with cell cycle progression.
