Description:
The CRM BAM-U117 represents a mixture of a sandy soil collected from a contaminated
former gasworks area in the Berlin region (Germany) and an unpolluted sandy soil from Nalaikh region (Mongolia). The raw materials were dried at ambient air to constant mass, and afterwards the fractions passing a 2 mm screen were ground to particle sizes below 125 µm. Before bottling, the two fractions were mixed and homogenised.

Description:
Prenylated proteins contain one of two isoprenoid lipids, either the 15-carbon farnesyl or the 20-carbon geranylgeranyl, covalently attached to cysteine residues at or near their C terminus. PCYOX1 is capable of cleaving the thioether bond of prenylcysteines. The enzyme was isolated from bovine brain membranes and exhibits an apparent molecular mass of 63 kDa. This is a specific enzyme involved in prenylcysteine metabolism in mammalian cells, most likely comprising the final step in the degradation of prenylated proteins.

Description:
Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional 24 kDa protein originally discovered in the medium of RNA stimulated fibroblastoid cells. It is upregulated by IL1, TNF, PDGF, IFN beta, TNF alpha, NGF, IL17 and downregulated by glucocorticoids IL4, TGF beta. IL-6 appears to be directly involved in the responses that occur after infection and cellular injury, and it may prove to be as important as IL1 and TNF alpha in regulating the acute phase response. IL-6 has also been implicated in regulating adipose mass.

Description:
Fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF-4) is a member of the FGF superfamily (Beenken and Mohammadi). FGF-4 is expressed in pluripotent stem cells and is implicated in various stages of development and morphogenesis in a variety of organisms (Kosaka <i>et al.</i> 2009). FGF-4 has been shown to have an ability to promote neural stem cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation in the postnatal brain (Kosaka <i>et al.</i> 2006). FGF-4 has also been shown to increase the proliferation rate of mesenchymal stem cells (Farré <i>et al.</i>). FGF-4 supports the maintenance and self-renewal properties of human embryonic stem cells and also promotes the proliferation of these cells (Mayshar <i>et al.</i>). In the mouse, the Fgf4 gene also supports proliferation of the inner cell mass (ICM) and postimplantation embryos (Feldman <i>et al.</i>).

CDX2 Antibody: CDX2 is a member of the caudal homeobox family of transcription factors that also includes the proteins CDX1 and CDX4. CDX2 is strongly expressed in the trophectoderm in the blastocyst with expression maintained within the proliferating extra-embryonic ectoderm during development. It is required for the repression of the transcription of the POU5F1/Oct4 and NANOG genes in the outer cells of the blastocyst and is thus essential for the segregation of the inner cell mass and trophectoderm at the blastocyst stage. Aberrant expression of CDX2 is associated with numerous types of carcinomas, including intestinal metaplasia, gastric carcinoma, and acute myeloid leukemia due to deregulated HOX gene expression.

Leptin receptor (LEPR) is also known as LEP-R, cluster of differentiation 295 (CD295), OB-R and B219, is a single-transmembrane-domain receptor of the gp130 family of cytokine receptors. Leptin receptor exists as homodimer and binds Leptin with high affinity, thus mediates the biological function of the adipocyte-specific hormone Leptin. LEPR is a receptor for leptin (an adipocyte-specific hormone that regulates body weight), and is involved in the regulation of fat metabolism, as well as in a novel hematopoietic pathway that is required for normal lymphopoiesis. Mutations in this protein have been associated with obesity and pituitary dysfunction. Interaction of leptin and leptin receptor is crucial for body weight and bone mass regulation in mammals through hypothalamic effects on satiety and energy expenditure. Meanwhile, research data supports a leptin receptor activation model based on ligand-induced conformational changes.

The general transcription factor TFIIE has an essential role in eukaryotic transcription initiation together with RNA polymerase II and other general factors. Human TFIIE consists of two subunits of relative molecular mass 57,000 (TFIIE-alpha) and 34,000 (TFIIE-beta) and joins the preinitiation complex after RNA polymerase II and TFIIF. TFIIE-alpha is necessary for transcription initiation together with TFIIE-beta, and recombinant TFIIE-alpha can fully replace the natural subunit in an in vitro transcription assay. Its sequence contains several interesting structural motifs (leucine repeat, zinc finger and helix-turn-helix) and sequence similarities to bacterial sigma factors that suggest direct involvement in the regulation of transcription initiation

FTO Antibody: Rising obesity rates are rapidly becoming a growing health concern in the developing world. The fat mass and obesity associated gene (FTO) is the first gene discovered to contribute to common forms of human obesity. FTO is a member of the non-heme dioxygenase superfamily, encoding a 2-oxoglutarate-dependent nucleic acid demethylase whose mRNA is widely expressed, especially in neurons of feeding-related nuclei of the brain. FTO mRNA in the arcuate nucleus in mice is up-regulated by feeding and down-regulated during fasting, although the opposite pattern has been observed in rats. At least four isoforms of FTO are known to exist.

GATA3 Antibody: GATA3 is a zinc finger transcription factor that was first recognized as a possible determinant of T cell development. TMX2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein and contains 1 thioredoxin domain. Thioredoxin plays an important role in various cellular processes through redox regulation. The molecular cloning and characterisation of one member of the thioredoxin superfamily, designated as TMX2.The TMX2 cDNA consists of 1644 nucleotides and contains an open reading frame encoding a protein of 372 amino acids with a predicted molecular mass of 42.5 kDa and an isoelectric point of 8.94. The TMX2 protein may possess an N-terminal signal peptide, a potential transmembrane domain, an Myb DNA-binding domain repeat signature, a thioredoxin consensus pattern, an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane retention signal (KKXX-like motif), and a dileucine motif in the tail.
