Serpin B5 is a secretive protein that belongs to the Serpin (Serine Protease Inhibitor) family and Ov-serpin subfamily. Serpin B5 is expressed in the prostate, testis, intestine, tongue, lung, and thymus. Serpin B5 exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity. Serpin B5 also functions as tumour suppressor an angiogenesis inhibitor. It has been shown that Serpin B5 blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumours. Furthermore, high expression of Serpin B5 is linked to squamous cell carcinoma in non-small-cell lung cancer.

BATF Antibody: BATF is a nuclear basic leucine zipper protein that belongs to the AP-1/ATF superfamily of transcription factors. The leucine zipper of this protein mediates dimerization with members of the Jun family of proteins. This protein is thought to be a negative regulator of AP-1/ATF transcriptional events and blocks cellular transformation by Ras and Fos. BATF also is required for the differentiation of IL-17-producing T helper (TH17) cells, a CD4+ subset of T cells that coordinates the inflammatory response in host defense. In both T cells and B cells, BATF is required for the appropriate regulation of the class-switch recombination.

CCL4, (C-C motif chemokine 4; macrophage inflammatory protein 1beta) is a chemokine secreted at sites of inflammation by activated leukocytes, lymphocytes, vascular endothelial cells and pulmonary smooth cells. CCL4 attracts a variety of immune cells to sites of microbial infection as well as to pathologic inflammation, such as allergic asthma and ischemic myocardium. Full-length and truncated CCL4 exert biological activity through the receptor CCR5. The truncated form of CCL4 interacts additionally with CCR1 and CCR2b. The ability of CCL4 to bind CCR5 inhibits the cellular entry of M-tropic HIV. Both CCL4 forms block HIV-1 infection of T cells by inducing the downregulation of CCR5.

Trimethoprim is an antibacterial agent; a specific inhibitor of formylation; a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor.
Trimethoprim is primarily used as an antibacterial agent. It has dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor activity with selectivity for the prokaryote enzyme. It is used to treat urinary tract infections, mild acute prostatitis, recurrent cystitis, asymptomatic bacteriuria during pregnancy and respiratory tract infections. The combination of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole interferes with the cellular metabolism of folic acid in the bacterial cell by blocking the biosynthesis of nucleotides. Trimethoprim binds to dihydrofolate reductase and inhibits the reduction of dihydrofolic acid (DHF) to tetrahydrofolic acid (THF). THF is an essential precursor in the thymidine synthesis pathway and interference with this pathway inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis.

CD55 is a member of the RCA (regulators of complement activation) family. RCA proteins is characterized by the presence of four to 30 SCRs (short consensus repeats also called CCPs for control protein modules) in their plasmaexposed regions. CD55 containing four SCR modules is involved in the regulation of the complement cascade. CD55 is known to bind CD97 via the first SCR. It also binds physiologically generated C3 convertases with its second and third SCRs. Binding results in an accelerated “decay”, or dissociation of active C3 convertases, thus blocking the development of C’ attack complexes on nonforeign cells. It is known that viruses and bacteria also utilize multiple SCR sites for infection.

Programmed Cell Death 1 Ligand 2 (PDCD1LG2) is a member of the BTN/MOG family. PDCD1LG2 contains one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain. PDCD1LG2 is highly expressed in the heart, placenta, pancreas, lung and liver; it is weakly expressed in the spleen, lymph nodes, and thymus. PDCD1LG2 is involved in the costimulatory signal, essential for T-cell proliferation and IFNG production in a PDCD1-independent manner. PDCD1LG2 interaction with PDCD1 inhibits T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production.

Recognises a protein of 21 kDa, identified as the Bax protein. This mAb is highly specific to Bax and shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-2 or Bcl-X protein. Bcl-2 blocks cell death following a variety of stimuli. Bax has extensive amino acid homology with Bcl-2 and it homodimerizes and forms heterodimers with Bcl-2. Overexpression of Bax accelerates apoptotic death induced by cytokine deprivation in an IL-3 dependent cell line, and Bax also counters the death repressor activity of Bcl-2.
