Apolipoprotein A-II(Apo-AII for short), also known as Apolipoprotein A2, is a secreted protein which belongs to the apolipoprotein A2 family. It exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer; and also can form a disulfide-linked heterodimer with APOD. APOA2 is the 2nd most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. This protein may stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids, and affect the HDL metabolism. Defects in APOA2 gene might cause apolipoprotein A-II deficiency or hypercholesterolemia.

Interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha (IL5RA) is also known as IL-5 receptor subunit alpha, IL-5R subunit alpha and CD125,which is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and type 5 subfamily.IL5R, a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit, is expressed on eosinophils and basophils. IL5RA / CD125 is the receptor for interleukin-5 (IL5) and the alpha chain can bind to IL5. The WSXWS motif of IL5RA appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding.The beta subunit of IL5R is common to the IL3, IL5 and GM-CSF receptors.

Interleukin-18-binding protein (IL18BP) is also known as Tadekinig-alfa, IL18BPa, which functions as an IL18 inhibitor. IL18BP is a secreted protein which contains one Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. IL18BP does not have a transmembrane domain and hence is not anchored to the cell membrane. IL18BP is strongly expressed in heart, lung, placenta and spleen. Isoform A of IL18BP binds to IL-18 and inhibits its activity. IL18BP also functions as an inhibitor of the early TH1 cytokine response. IL18BP suppresses the production of IFN-gamma resulting in reduced T-helper type 1 immune responses.

Interleukin 13 receptor, alpha 1 is also known as IL13RA1, NR4 and CD213A1 (cluster of differentiation 213A1), The IL13 Rα1 cDNA encodes a 427 amino acid (aa) residue precursor protein with a putative 21 aa residue signal peptide, a 324 aa residue extracellular domain, a 23 aa residue transmembrane region and a 59 aa residue cytoplasmic tail. Human and mouseIL13Rα1 share 76% aa sequence identity. IL13RA1 is a subunit of the interleukin 13 receptor. This subunit forms a receptor complex with IL4 receptor alpha, a subunit shared by IL13 and IL4 receptors. This subunit serves as a primary IL13-binding subunit of the IL13 receptor, and may also be a component of IL4 receptors. This protein has been shown to bind tyrosine kinase TYK2, and thus may mediate the signaling processes that lead to the activation of JAK1, STAT3 and STAT6 induced by IL13 and IL4.

It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored neuronal membrane protein that functions as a cell adhesion molecule. CNTN2 may play a role in the formation of axon connections in the developing nervous system. In conjunction with another transmembrane protein, CNTNAP2, contributes to the organisation of axonal domains at nodes of Ranvier by maintaining voltage-gated potassium channels at the juxtaparanodal region. Most of frizzled receptors are coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway, which leads to the activation of disheveled proteins, inhibition of GSK-3 kinase, nuclear accumulation of beta-catenin and activation of Wnt target genes. FZD7 contains one FZ (frizzled) domain. FZD7 is receptor for Wnt proteins. GDNF family receptor alpha-1 (GFRA1) is also known as RET ligand 1 (RETL1), TGF-beta-related neurotrophic factor receptor 1 (TRNR1), is a novel glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked cell surface receptor, and belongs to the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) receptor subfamily. The GDNF family ligands comprises GDNF, Neurturin (NTN), Artemin, and Persephin. GDNF and NTN are two structurally related, potent neurotrophic factors that play key roles in the control of neuron survival and differentiation. GFRA1 mediates the association with and activation of the RET tyrosine kinase receptor (RTK), and subsequently initiates the RET signaling pathway. GFR alpha-mediated signaling plays an important role in the survival, differentiation, and migration of central and peripheral neurons, and is essential for the development of kidneys and the enteric nervous system, as well as the inflammatory response in some carciniomas.

Cadherin-6 (CDH6) is a type-II classic cadherin cell-cell adhesion molecules, which are expressed in graded or areal patterns, as well as layer-specific patterns, in the cortical plate. Human Cadherin-6 is synthesized as a 790 aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 18 aa signal peptide, a 35 aa propeptide, a 562 aa extracellular region, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 154 aa cytoplasmic domain. There are five cadherin domains of approximately 110 aa each in the extracellular region. Cadherin-6 has high expression in kidney, brain, and cerebellum, and may contribute to the formation of the segmental structure of the early brain, as well as the development of renal proximal tubules. Weak expression is also detected in lung, pancreas, gastric mucosa and cytotrophoblasts. As a classic cadherin, Cadherin-6 will form homodimers and promote intercellular adhesion with itself and, possibly, Cadherin-9 and -14.

Ephrin Type-A Receptor 7 (EPHA7) is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the Eph family of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases. It contains two fibronectin type-III domains, one protein kinase domain and one SAM (sterile alpha motif) domain. EPHA7 is a receptor for members of the ephrin-A family. Eph receptors are largely expressed throughout the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm of vertebrate embryos. EPHA7 functions as a repulsive guidance molecule during the targeting of retinal axons to the superior colliculus and of neocortical axons to the thalamus. EPHA7 is expressed at a substantial level in most human lung cancers. IGFBP2 is a cytoplasmic protein and contains four KH domains and two RRM (RNA recognition motif) domains. IGF2BP2 binds to the 5'-UTR of the Insulin-Like Growth Factor 2 (IGF2) mRNA. This binding is isoform-specific. IGF2BP2 may regulate translation of target mRNAs. Genetic variation at the IGF2BP2 gene has been associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D) by genome-wide association studies and by replication analyses.
