Numéro de catalogue: (L0207-500)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Schneider’s Insect Medium was developed to support the growth of excised imaginal discs from the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster. When supplemented with 5 to 20% heat-inactivated foetal bovine serum Schneider's mediuam has been found to support the rapid growth of both primary and established cultures of cells derived from Drosophila spp. and several other dipterans.
UOM: 1 * 500 mL
Numéro de catalogue: (L0950-100)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Accustase is a ready to use cell detachment solution of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. Accutase is a direct gentle replacement for trypsin solution. It can also be used on suspension cells to reduce their agglutination in order to ease counting.
UOM: 1 * 100 mL
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: RPMI are general purpose enriched media with extensive applications for a broad spectrum of mammalian and hybridoma cells, including human myeloma, mouse hybridoma, human leukocytes, and B and T lymphocytes. It was originally formulated for suspension cultures and monolayer culture of human leukaemia cells.

Description: Studies to determine the nutritional requirements of many cells have been in progress since Eagle's first reports. The major essential nutrients were identified, and work became focussed on the media requirements of individual cell types. Many media designed for these purposes are now available. Among the first of these media, developed initially to study hormonal requirements of cells in culture, was a mixture of DMEM and Ham's F12 medium, known as DMEM-Ham's F12.

Description: Antibiotic G418 is an aminoglycoside antibiotic similar in structure to gentamycin. It exhibits toxicity towards both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. The optimal concentration for selection and maintenance must be determined for each cell line.

Description: These irrigating buffers and salt solutions are sterile, physiological balanced solutions intended for use in the maintenance of mammalian cells, where a chemically defined, balanced salt solution provides an environment that will maintain the structural and physiological integrity of cells in vitro. Applications include the intermediate steps for cultivation of cells, like washing, centrifugation, suspending and counting, as well as for many analytical methods or biochemical treatments. Principally these solutions should be used to keep the cells in suspension only for minutes or a few hours maximum. These buffers and solutions are not cell culture media.

Description: In 1976, Guilbert and Iscove demonstrated that precursor cells of erythrocytes and macrophages could be cultured in a reduced-serum medium supplemented with albumin, transferrin, lecithin, and selenium. Iscove's medium is a modification of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DME) containing selenium, additional amino acids and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, HEPES buffer, and potassium nitrate instead of ferric nitrate. Further studies have demonstrated that Iscove's medium will support murine B lymphocytes, haemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B-cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T-lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells.
Numéro de catalogue: (X0557-100)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Concentrated solutions of amino acids, vitamins or non essential amino acids can be added to a basal medium to enrich it and the resulting medium used as a classical MEM or BME. The final concentration of the MEM or BME must be 1X.
UOM: 1 * 100 mL
Numéro de catalogue: (L0630-100)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Versene can be used instead of trypsin. It is a chelating agent that disperses the cells by cutting the cytoplasmic bridges between them. Versene has the advantage of being able to withstand autoclave temperature, which is a guarantee of sterility. In addition, it is less aggressive cells than trypsin, which is useful for studies on cell growth.
UOM: 1 * 100 mL
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Trypsin is a porcine pancreas-derived enzyme that is commonly used for the dissociation and disaggregation of anchorage-dependent mammalian cells and tissues. The concentration of trypsin necessary to dislodge the cells from their substrate depends on the sensitivity of the cells.
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) with Earle's Balanced Salts is a modification of Eagle's earlier medium, Basal Medium Eagle (BME), containing higher concentrations of the essential nutrients. These media have demonstrated the ability to support a variety of normal and transformed cells in culture and contain Earle's Balanced Salts, which make them suitable for use in atmospheres charged with CO₂ gas.
Numéro de catalogue: (L0014-100)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Glutamine penicillin streptamycin acts against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
UOM: 1 * 100 mL
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Ham's F12 was originally developed for the serum-free clonal growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells, lung cells and mouse L-cells. It is frequently used with dialysed serum, hormones, selenium and other supplements for serum-free cultures. It is the medium of choice for supporting the growth of cells of rodent origin, particularly rabbit and rat and has proved to be an excellent cloning medium for the culture of myeloma and hybrid cells.
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Colcemid arrests the division of cells in mitosis. It prevents the formation of the spindle apparatus responsible for cell division, thereby permitting an accumulation of metaphases.
Numéro de catalogue: (X0550-100)

Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: L(+)-Glutamine 0.2 mol/l en solution aqueuse
UOM: 1 * 100 mL
Fournisseur: Biowest
Description: Amphotericin B used in tissue culture to prevent growth of yeasts and fungi. It changes the function and integrity of eucaryotic cell membranes by forming complexes with sterols (cholesterol) hence having no effect on bacteria. Cause leakage of glucose.
