Description:
HNRPF belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has three repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNAs which have guanosine-rich sequences. This protein is very similar to the family member hnRPH.This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). Description:
HIV-1, the causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), contains an RNA genome that produces a chromosomally integrated DNA during the replicative cycle. Activation of HIV-1 gene expression by the transactivator Tat is dependent on an RNA regulatory element (TAR) located downstream of the transcription initiation site. TARBP2 binds between the bulge and the loop of the HIV-1 TAR RNA regulatory element and activates HIV-1 gene expression in synergy with the viral Tat protein.

Description:
AGPAT2 is a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. The protein is located within the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid, the second step in de novo phospholipid biosynthesis. Mutations in its gene have been associated with congenital generalized lipodystrophy (CGL), or Berardinelli-Seip syndrome, a disease characterized by a near absence of adipose tissue and severe insulin resistance. This gene encodes a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. Description:
Cluster of Differentiation 31 (CD31) is also known as Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1), is a 130-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by endothelial cells, platelets, macrophages and Kupffer cells, granulocytes, T / NK cells, lymphocytes, megakaryocytes, osteoclasts, neutrophils, certain tumors, and is the only known member of the CAM family on platelets. CD31 is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. CD31 plays a key role in removing aged neutrophils from the body. CD31 mediates the homotypic or heterotypic cell adhesion by binding to itself or the leukocyte integrin αvβ3, and thus plays a role in neutrophil recruitment in inflammatory responses, transendothelial migration of leukocytes, as well as in cardiovascular development. In addition, it has been shown that CD31 expression is up-regulated by LPS stimulation, and might function as a feedback negative regulator of LPS inflammatory response in macrophages.

Description:
RGS10 inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPASE activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. It associates specifically with the activated forms of the G protein subunits G (I)-ALPHA and G (Z)-alpha but fails to interact with the structurally and functionally distinct G (S)-alpha subunit. Activity on G (Z)-alpha is inhibited by palmitoylation of the G-protein.

Description:
DDX3 Antibody: DDX3 contains all of the motifs of the DEAD-box family of RNA helicases, including the Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp sequence that gives the protein family its name and distinguishes it from other RNA helicases. DDX3 is localized to the X chromosome and has a highly conserved functional homolog (DBY) on the Y chromosome. DDX3 is thought to be involved in RNA splicing, RNA transport, and translation initiation. It has also been shown to be involved in cell growth control and is deregulated in hepatitis virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma. Recent experiments suppressing DDX3 expression blocked HIV-1 RNA export from the nucleus, suggesting that DDX3 functions as a shuttling protein that transports the HIV-1 protein Rev and its cofactor CRM1 from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.

Description:
LSD1 Antibody: Histone modifications mediate changes in gene expression by altering chromatin structure or by serving as a platform to recruit other proteins. LSD1 is a recently discovered amine oxidase that catalyzes the lysine-specific demethylation of histone proteins via an FAD-dependent oxidative reaction. Methylation on histone H3-K9 is thought to play an important role in heterochromatin formation, while methylation on arginine and some lysine residues (such as H3-K4) is associated with active transcription. LSD1 associates with various proteins, including HDAC1/2, CoREST, and BHC80, that act to regulate LSD1 activity in vivo, and in a histone H3-K4-specific methylase complex that is involved in transcriptional regulation. Experiments have shown that CoREST, a SANT domain-containing corepressor acts to enhance LSD1 activity, while BHC80, a PHD domain-containing protein, inhibits CoREST/LSD1 activity in vitro. LSD1-mediated histone demethylation thus may have significant effects on gene expression.

GSR belongs to the class-I pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. It maintains high levels of reduced glutathione in the cytosol. Both glutathione and glutathione reductase are inducible by D3T, and that upregulation of GSH biosynthesis underlies D3T-mediated cytoprotection against ROS/RNS-elicited injury to human vascular smooth muscle cells.
