IL-1F10 (Interleukin-1 family member 10), also known as FIL1T, IL1HY2 or FKSG75, is highly expressed in the skin, spleen and proliferating B-cells of the tonsil. IL-1F10 binds soluble IL-1 receptor type 1, and is one of nine Interleukin 1 families clustered on chromosome 2, where it is thought to participate in the regulation of adapted and innate immune responses. IL-1F10 and IL-1RN polymorphisms may play an important role in the susceptibility to developing rheumatoid arthritis.

izTRAIL is a newly available, highly active recombinant form of soluble human TRAIL. Due to a trimerizing N-terminal isoleucine zipper (iz) motif the intrinsic trimerization of TRAIL, required for apoptosis-inducing activity of TRAIL, is enhanced when compared to non-tagged soluble human TRAIL (shTRAIL). Therefore, izTRAIL is a potent inducer of apoptosis in many human cancer cells, but not normal human hepatocytes. In addition, the half-life of izTRAIL is about eight-fold higher than the half-life of shTRAIL. These properties render izTRAIL highly suitable for both in vitro and in vivo use, particularly for studies in which investigators plan to transfer their in vitro results into an in vivo system with human cancer cells in xenotransplant settings examining susceptibility to TRAIL-induced apoptosis.

CD300C is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the immunoregulatory signaling (IRS) family. CD300C contains one Ig-like V-type domain and is present on the surface of natural killer cells, granulocytes, most myeloid cells, dendritic cells, and a subpopulation of T and B lymphocytes. The CD300C (CMRF-35A) and CD300A (CMRF-35H) molecules are homologous leukocyte surface proteins. CD300a and CD300C play an important role in the cross-regulation of TNF-alpha and IFN-alpha secretion from pDCs. CD300A and CD300C are indistinguishable on the surface of NK cells. The ligand for CD300C is presently unknown.

Collagen alpha-1(III) chain(Col3a1) is a secreted protein and belongs to the fibrillar collagen family.It contains 1 fibrillar collagen NC1 domain and 1 VWFC domain. Collagen alpha-1(III) chain is a fibrillar collagen that is found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, and the vascular system, frequently in association with type I collagen. The COL3A1 gene produces the components of type III collagen, called pro-alpha1(III) chains. Three copies of this chain combine to make a molecule of type III procollagen. These triple-stranded, rope-like procollagen molecules must be processed by enzymes outside the cell to remove extra protein segments from their ends. Once these molecules are processed, the collagen molecules arrange themselves into long, thin fibrils. Within these fibrils, the individual collagen molecules are cross-linked to one another. These cross-links result in the formation of very strong mature type III collagen fibrils, which are found in the spaces around cells.
