Description:
The EGFR subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases is composed of EGFR, ErbB2, ErbB3 and ErbB4. The EGFR shares 43% to 44% aa sequence identity with the ECD of human EGFR subfamily. All these family members are type I transmembrane glycoproteins with an extracellular ligand binding domain. The extracellular ligand binding domain is containing two cysteine-rich domains separated by a spacer region and a cytoplasmic domain containing a membrane-proximal tyrosine kinase domain. Ligand binding could induce EGFR homodimerisation and heterodimerisation with ErbB2, resulting in cell signalling, heterodimerisation tyrosine phosphorylation and kinase activation. It can bind EGF, amphiregulin, TGF-alpha, betacellulin, epiregulin, HB-EGF, epigen, and so on. Its signalling regulates multiple biological functions including cell proliferation, differentiation, motility, and apoptosis. EGFR can also be recruited to form heterodimers with the ligand-activated ErbB3 or ErbB4. EGFR is overexpressed in different tumours. Several anti-cancer drugs use EGFR as target.

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase [NADP] Cytoplasmic (IDH1) belongs to the isocitrate and isopropylmalate dehydrogenases family. IDH1 exists as a homodimer, binding one magnesium or manganese ion per subunit. Mutations of IDH1 have been shown to cause metaphyseal chondromatosis with aciduria and are involved in the development of glioma. IDH plays a role in the regeneration of NADPH for intraperoxisomal reductions, such as the conversion of 2, 4-dienoyl-CoAs to 3-enoyl-CoAs, as well as in peroxisomal reactions that consume 2-oxoglutarate, namely the alpha-hydroxylation of phytanic acid.

Alpha-2-antiplasmin, also called Serpin F2, is a serine protease inhibitor (serpin) responsible for inactivating plasmin, and an important enzyme participates in fibrinolysis and degradation of other proteins. In liver cirrhosis, there is decreased production of alpha 2-antiplasmin, leading to decreased inactivation of plasmin and an increase in fibrinolysis. Serpin F2 is major expressed on liver and kidney. Some other tissues such as muscle, intestine, central nervous system, and placenta also express Serpin F2 mRNA at a moderate level indicated that it is a key regulator of plasmin-mediated proteolysis in these tissues.

Description:
Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5, the precursor of irisin, is a protein that is encoded by the FNDC5 gene. Human Irisin is synthesized as a 212 amino acid (aa) precursor encoding a type 1 transmembrane protein with a 121 aa extracellular domain (ECD), a 21 aa transmembrane domain, and a 39 aa cytoplasmic domain. The ECD of Irisin contains a fibronectin type III domain and multiple glycosylation sites. The ECD is proteolytically cleaved to release the 112 aa soluble Irisin hormone into circulation. Mature human, mouse share 100% sequence identity. Irisin induces expression of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha (PGC1 alpha) and uncoupling protein1(UCP1), mitochondrial associated metabolic proteins. Irisin induces the transition of white adipose tissue into more metabolically active beige adipose tissue. Irisin also regulates neuronal cell differentiation and neurite outgrowth in the brain and is involved in the differentiation of osteoblasts.

Transforming growth factor- beta (TGF- beta ) is an essential regulator in the processes of development, cell proliferation, and extracellular matrix deposition. TGF- beta regulates cellular processes by binding to three high-affinity cell surface receptors: TGF- beta receptor type I (TGF- beta -RI), TGF- beta receptor type II (TGF- beta -RII), and TGF- beta beta receptor type III (TGF- beta -RIII). TGF- beta RII is consists of a C-terminal protein kinase domain and an N-terminal ectodomain and belongs to transforming growth factor-beta (TGF- beta ) receptor subfamily. TGF- beta RII has a protein kinase domain which can form a heterodimeric complex with another receptor protein and bind TGF-beta. This receptor/ligand complex phosphorylates protein will enter the nucleus and regulate the transcription of a subset of genes related to cell proliferation.

MTA1 encodes a protein that was identified in a screen for genes expressed in metastatic cells, specifically, mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression of this gene has been correlated with the metastatic potential of at least two types of carcinomas although it is also expressed in many normal tissues. The role it plays in metastasis is unclear. MTA1 was initially thought to be the 70kD component of a nucleosome remodeling deacetylase complex, NuRD, but it is more likely that this component is a different but very similar protein. These two proteins are so closely related, though, that they share the same types of domains. These domains include two DNA binding domains, a dimerization domain, and a domain commonly found in proteins that methylate DNA. The profile and activity of this gene product suggest that it is involved in regulating transcription and that this may be accomplished by chromatin remodeling.

JAKMIP1 Antibody: JAKMIP1, also known as Marlin-1, is a highly-conserved vertebrate-specific microtubule-associated protein that plays a role in JAK1 signaling and regulate microtubule cytoskeleton rearrangements. JAKMIP1 is expressed predominantly in neuronal and lymphoid cells and colocalizes with microtubules. Multiple isoforms of JAKMIP1 are known to exist: isoforms 1 and 5 are also expressed in liver, lung and skeletal muscle, while isoforms 2-4 are specifically expressed in brain and retina. JAKMIP1 participates in polarized secretion in lymphocytes and it has been suggested to be a novel effector memory gene restraining T cell-mediated cytotoxicity. VTCN1, also known as B7-H4, is a member of the B7 family of immune regulatory molecules. Expressed primarily on the membrane of lymphoid cells, VTCN1 is an immunoinhibitory protein that interacts with receptors on the surface of T lymphocytes, thus mediating cellular and humoral immune responses. Overexpression of VTCN1 is associated with certain malignancies, including ovarian and breast cancer, which may be a mechanism by which tumour cells suppress T cell immunity and facilitate tumour progression. VTCN1 may thus be a useful biomarker for the early detection of ovarian cancer.

IL-17RE Antibody: The interleukin 17 receptor E (IL-17RE) shares limited similarity to the receptor of IL-17A, a ubiquitous type I membrane glycoprotein that with IL-17A plays a pathogenic role in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
