Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ERBB3 gene. This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family of receptor tyrosine kinases. ERBB3 belongs to the protein kinase superfamily,tyr protein kinase family and EGF receptor subfamily.It contains 1 protein kinase domain and it is expressed in Epithelial tissues and brain. This membrane-bound protein has a neuregulin binding domain but not an active kinase domain. It therefore can bind this ligand but not convey the signal into the cell through protein phosphorylation. However, it does form heterodimers with other EGF receptor family members which do have kinase activity.

Description:
Ubiquitin-Conjugating Enzyme E2 K (UBE2K) belongs to the E2 Ubiquitin-Conjugating Enzyme family. UBE2K is highly expressed in the brain, with highest levels found in cortex and striatum, and at lower levels in cerebellum and brainstem. UBE2K may mediate foam cell formation by the suppression of apoptosis of lipid-bearing macrophages through ubiquitination and subsequence degradation of p53/TP53. UBE2K is associated with the selective degradation of short-lived and abnormal proteins, such as the endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) of misfolded lumenal proteins. In addition, UBE2K is involved in Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease and antigen processing through its interaction with huntingtin, and MHC-heavy chain proteins.

Description:
ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 5(ABCB5) is a plasma membrane-spanning protein. ABCB5 is principally expressed in physiological skin and human malignant melanoma. ABCB5 has been suggested to regulate skin progenitor cell fusion and mediate chemotherapeutic drug resistance in stem-like tumour cell subpopulations in human malignant melanoma. It is commonly over-expressed on circulating melanoma tumour cells. Furthermore, the ABCB5+ melanoma- initiating cells were demonstrated to express FLT1 (VEGFR1) receptor tyrosine kinase which was functionally required for efficient xenograft tumour formation, as demonstrated by shRNA knockdown experiments.

tumour necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 25 (TNFRSF25) contains 1 death domain and 4 TNFR-Cys repeats. TNFRSF25 is a cell surface receptor of the tumour necrosis factor receptor superfamily which mediates apoptotic signalling and differentiation, activated by a monogamous ligand, known as TL1A (TNFSF15), which is rapidly upregulated in antigen presenting cells and some endothelial cells following Toll-Like Receptor or Fc receptor activation. This receptor has been shown to signal both through the TRADD adaptor molecule to stimulate NF-kappa B activity or through the FADD adaptor molecule to stimulate caspase activation and regulate cell apoptosis. It may play a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis.

Interleukin-2 receptor subunit alpha (IL2RA) is a single-pass type I membrane protein, contains 2 Sushi (CCP/SCR) domains. The interleukin 2 (IL2) receptor alpha (IL2RA) and beta (IL2RB) chains, together with the common gamma chain (IL2RG), constitute the high-affinity IL2 receptor. Homodimeric alpha chains (IL2RA) result in low-affinity receptor, while homodimeric beta (IL2RB) chains produce a medium-affinity receptor. Asialoglycoprotein Receptor 1 (ASGPR1) is an endocytic recycling receptor, belongs to the long-form subfamily of the C-type/Ca2+-dependent lectin family. ASGPR consists of two noncovalently-linked subnits, ASGPR1 and ASGPR2. ASGPR1 mediates the endocytosis of plasma glycoproteins, recognizes terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. When the ligand binds to to ASGPR1, results in the complex is internalized and transported to a sorting organelle, then ASGPR1 and ligand can be disassociated, ASGPR1 returns to the cell membrane surface.
