Description:
The MXPC SERIES comes from the latest generation of Welch MPCpro diaphragm pumps to provide improved performance, particularly in the application critical range. The ultimate vacuum of 5 or 1,5 mbar with significant design improvements to directly influence the process flow and the repeatability. The new Single Piece Diaphragm (SPD) design provides increased chemical resistance and easier servicing. These models are ideal for applications where a high pumping speed, fast pump down time and deep ultimate vacuum are required, such as vacuum ovens, rotary evaporators and vacuum concentrators.
Description:
Description:
Three isoforms of neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) are produced by differential splicing of the RNA transcript from a single gene. The 135 kDa isoform is the basic molecule, which is glycosylated or sialylated to produce the mature species. Anti-CD56 recognises two proteins of the neural cell adhesion molecule, the basic molecule expressed on most neuroectodermally derived tissues and neoplasms (e.g. retinoblastoma, medulloblastomas, astrocytomas, neuroblastomas, and small cell carcinomas). It is also expressed on some mesodermally derived tumors (rhabdomyosarcoma). Anti-CD56 plays an important role in the diagnosis of nodal and nasal NK/T-cell lymphomas.
Description:
FUNCTION: Involved in the production of GD3 and GT3 from GM3. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: CMP-N-acetylneuraminate + beta-N-acetylneuraminyl-2,3-beta-D-galactosyl-R = CMP + beta-N-acetylneuraminyl-2,8-beta-N-acetylneuraminyl-2,3-beta-D-galactosyl-R. SIMILARITY: Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 29 family. PATHWAY: Glycosylation. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Golgi apparatus; Golgi membrane; single-pass type II membrane protein
Description:
Recognises a single glycoprotein of 520 kDa, identified as mucin 2 (MUC2). This mAb shows no cross-reaction with human milk fat globule membranes, MUC1, or MUC3. Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins, which constitute the major component of the mucus layer that protects the gastric epithelium. MUC2 is specifically expressed in goblet cells of the small intestine & colon; in about 65% of colonic carcinomas and about 40% of gastric carcinomas. MUC2 is rarely expressed outside of the GI tract with the exceptions of mucinous carcinoma of breast and clear cell-type carcinomas of the ovary.
Description:
The tetrameric receptor complex for IFN gamma consists of two subunits, IFNGR1 (IFN gamma R alpha) and IFNGR2 (IFN gamma R beta ), through which the dimeric IFN- gamma exerts its biological functions, including antiviral, antiproliferation and immune-modulatory activity in mammals. Both IFNGR1 and IFNGR2 are single transmembrane proteins belonging to the class II cytokine family. FNGR1, widely expressed in most host cells, is essential for IFN gamma binding, receptor trafficking, and signal transduction. IFNGR1 possesses an intracellular Janus tyrosine kinase (JAK) 1 binding site, a signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) binding site. The resulting STAT1 homodimers translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and bind to the interferon-gamma activated sequence (GAS) promoter to induce expression of downstream interferon stimulated genes (ISGs).
Description:
Mitochondrial ATP synthase catalyzes ATP synthesis, utilizing an electrochemical gradient of protons across the inner membrane during oxidative phosphorylation. It is composed of two linked multi-subunit complexes: the soluble catalytic core, F1, and the membrane-spanning component, Fo, which comprises the proton channel. The F1 complex consists of 5 different subunits (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon) assembled in a ratio of 3 alpha, 3 beta, and a single representative of the other 3. The Fo seems to have nine subunits (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, F6 and 8). This gene encodes the d subunit of the Fo complex. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. In addition, three pseudogenes are located on chromosomes 9, 12 and 15.
Description:
The OKT4 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the CD4 receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). CD4 is a 59 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein that expressed on the surface of most of the thymocytes, T-helper cells, and in low levels on monocytes and macrophages. CD4 is a co-receptor in the antigen-induced T cell activation (together with the MHC class II). The OKT4 and the RPA-T4 monoclonal antibodies recognize different epitopes of CD4 and they do not exhibit cross-block binding.
Description:
Interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha (IL5RA) is also known as IL-5 receptor subunit alpha, IL-5R subunit alpha and CD125,which is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and type 5 subfamily.IL5R, a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit, is expressed on eosinophils and basophils. IL5RA / CD125 is the receptor for interleukin-5 (IL5) and the alpha chain can bind to IL5. The WSXWS motif of IL5RA appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding. The beta subunit of IL5R is common to the IL3, IL5 and GM-CSF receptors.
Description:
The protein encoded by this gene shares similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad52, a protein important for DNA double-strand break repair and homologous recombination. This gene product was shown to bind single-stranded DNA ends, and mediate the DNA-DNA interaction necessary for the annealing of complementary DNA strands. It was also found to interact with DNA recombination protein RAD51, which suggested its role in RAD51 related DNA recombination and repair. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been reported for this gene. The alpha variant encodes the longest isoform that contains an identical N-terminus, but a distinct C-terminus, as compared to other isoforms (beta, delta, and gamma).
Description:
Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to the olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.
