B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain (CD79b) is also known as B-cell-specific glycoprotein B29, Ig-beta,Immunoglobulin-associated B29 protein, B29 and IGB, which is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing one Ig-like V-type ( immunoglobulin-like ) domain and one ITAM domain.CD79b is required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR).CD79b can enhance phosphorylation of CD79A, possibly by recruiting kinases which phosphorylate CD79A or by recruiting proteins which bind to CD79A and protect it from dephosphorylation. Defects in CD79b are the cause of agammaglobulinemia type 6 (AGM6) that is a primary immunodeficiency characterized by profoundly low or absent serum antibodies and low or absent circulating B cells due to an early block of B-cell development.

It may function not directly as a DNA methyltransferase but rather as a regulator of methylation at imprinted loci. It is required specifically for the establishment of genomic imprints but is dispensable for their propagation. It is essential for the de novo methylation of single-copy DNA sequences. The protein is well-express in testis, thymus, ovary, and heart. mDnmt3L, which belongs to the 5-cytosine methyltransferase family, contains 1 ADD-type zinc finger.

Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) are ligand-gated ion channels nAChRs are pentameric structures that are made up of combinations of individual subunits. CHRNB3 is one of the subunits of nAChR. Twelve neuronal nAChR subunits have been described, alpha2-alpha10 and beta2-beta4. CHRNB3 decreased the channel mean open time and burst length. There was also an increase in single channel slope conductance. On the other hand, the calcium permeability and the pharmacological properties of beta3-containing receptors differed little from those of without beta3. Dysfunction of nAChR has been linked to a number of human diseases such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. nAChRs also play a significant role in nicotine addiction.

Recognises a single protein of 33-34 kDa, identified as the prostate specific antigen (PSA). This mAb is highly specific to PSA and stains prostatic secretory and ductal epithelium in both normal and neoplastic tissues. PSA is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease (kallikrein family) exclusively produced by the prostate epithelium, and abundant in seminal fluid. PSA can be detected in the sera of patients with prostatic carcinoma. It is predominantly complexed to a liver-derived serine protease inhibitor, alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT). A higher proportion of serum PSA is complexed to ACT in prostate cancer than in benign prostate hyperplasia.

These proteins have been implicated in such diverse functions as DNA replication, gene transcription, cell cycle progression and apoptosis.This gene encodes a member of a small family of proteins which bind single stranded DNA/RNA. Description:
PTH/Parathyroid hormone is a hormone produced by the parathyroid gland that regulates the concentration of calcium and phosphorus in extracellular fluid. This hormone elevates blood Ca2+ levels by dissolving the salts in bone and preventing their renal excretion. It is produced in the parathyroid gland as an 84 amino acid single chain polypeptide. It can also be secreted as N-terminal truncated fragments or C-terminal fragments after intracellular degradation, as in case of hypercalcemia. Defects in this gene are a cause of familial isolated hypoparathyroidism (FIH); also called autosomal dominant hypoparathyroidism or autosomal dominant hypocalcemia. FIH is characterised by hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to inadequate secretion of parathyroid hormone. Symptoms are seizures, tetany and cramps. FIH exist both as autosomal dominant and recessive forms of hypoparathyroidism.

Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing 5 (survivin).This gene is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encode negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. IAP family members usually contain multiple baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. The encoded proteins also lack a C-terminus RING finger domain. Gene expression is high during fetal development and in most tumors yet low in adult tissues. Antisense transcripts are involved in the regulation of this gene's expression. At least four transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene, but the full-length natures of only three of them have been determined.

Uroplakin-2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the uroplakin-2 family. Uroplakin-2 is a component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM) and expressed in the ureter, a highly specialized biomembrane elaborated by terminally differentiated urothelial cells. Uroplakin-2 forms heterodimer with UPK1A that is necessary for exiting out of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Uroplakin-2 may play an important role in regulating the assembly of the AUM. AUM is believed to strengthen the urothelium by preventing cell rupture during bladder distention.

CXCL14 belongs to the cytokine family which encode secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to the CXC (Cys-X-Cys) subfamily of cytokines. Members of this subfamily are characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid. This cytokine displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for lymphocytes, dendritic cells, neutrophils or macrophages. It has been implicated that this cytokine is involved in the homeostasis of monocyte-derived macrophages rather than in inflammation.

Heat-Responsive Protein 12 (HRSP12) is an endoribonuclease that belongs to the Rut family. HRSP12 is found mainly in the human adult kidney and liver and is responsible for inhibiting protein translation by cleaving mRNA. HRSP12 only cleaves phosphodiester bonds in single-stranded RNA and inhibits cell-free protein synthesis. The levels of both mRNA and protein are markedly reduced in heptatocellular tumors and in human hepatoma cell lines compared with normal liver tissues. Moreover the levels of HRSP12 are different depending on the grade of the tumor. This had led to the suggestion that HRSP12 may be an important biomarker for heptatic carcinoma.
