Description:   IL18RAP is an accessory subunit of the heterodimeric receptor for IL18. This protein enhances the IL18 binding activity of IL18R1 (IL1RRP), a ligand binding subunit of IL18 receptor. The coexpression of IL18R1 and this protein is required for the activation of NF-kappaB and MAPK8 (JNK) in response to IL18.The protein encoded by this gene is an accessory subunit of the heterodimeric receptor for IL18. Description:   Carboxylesterase 2 is a member of a large multigene family. The enzymes are responsible for the hydrolysis of ester- and amide-bond-containing drugs such as cocaine and heroin. They also hydrolize long-chain fatty acid esters and thioesters. The specific function of this enzyme has not yet been determined; however, it is speculated that carboxylesterases may play a role in lipid metabolism and/or the blood-brain barrier system.Carboxylesterase 2 is a member of a large multigene family. Description:   C1QB is a major constituent of the human complement subcomponent C1q. C1q associates with C1r and C1s in order to yield the first component of the serum complement system. Deficiency of C1q has been associated with lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis. C1q is composed of 18 polypeptide chains: six A-chains, six B-chains, and six C-chains. Each chain contains a collagen-like region located near the N terminus and a C-terminal globular region. The A-, B-, and C-chains are arranged in the order A-C-B on chromosome 1. Description:   Nanos3 Antibody: Nanos is a zinc-finger containing, RNA-binding protein that has been implicated in germ cell development in both invertebrates and vertebrates. In Drosophila, Nanos represses apoptosis during development to ensure proper germ-line development. Unlike Nanos1 whose expression in mice is dispensable, the Nanos2 and Nanos3 proteins are required for germ cell development. Nanos2-null primordial germ cells (PGCs) die only in the male gonads and show no defects in females, while Nanos3-null PGCs are lost during the migration stage regardless of sex. Nanos2 and Nanos3 have distinct expression patterns during embryo development, suggesting that these two proteins do not have redundant functions. However, expression of Nanos2 can at least partially replace Nanos3 function in a Nanos3-null background. Nanos3 expression can not rescue Nanos2-null defects.

Description:   Microtubules of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton perform essential and diverse functions and are composed of a heterodimer of alpha and beta tubulin. The genes encoding these microtubule constituents are part of the tubulin superfamily, which is composed of six distinct families. Genes from the alpha, beta and gamma tubulin families are found in all eukaryotes. The alpha and beta tubulins represent the major components of microtubules, while gamma tubulin plays a critical role in the nucleation of microtubule assembly. There are multiple alpha and beta tubulin genes and they are highly conserved among and between species. This gene encodes an alpha tubulin that is a highly conserved homolog of a rat testis-specific alpha tubulin.Microtubules of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton perform essential and diverse functions and are composed of a heterodimer of alpha and beta tubulin. Description:   EVER2 Antibody: Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) is an autosomal recessive genodermatosis associated with a high risk of skin cancers resulting from a high susceptibility to infection by specific human papillomaviruses. Mutations in two homologous genes EVER1 and EVER2 cause the majority of EV cases. These two proteins form a complex and interact with the zinc transporter ZnT-1 in the endoplasmic reticulum. Cells lacking EVER2 accumulated higher levels of zinc in the nucleolus and nucleus compare to those cells with and intact EVER2 gene, indicating that one role of EVER2 is to regulate the intracellular distribution of zinc.

Description:   Slc22A17 Antibody: The Slc22 family of organic anion and cation transporters (OATs, OCTs, OCTNs) are transmembrane proteins expressed predominantly in kidney and liver. Each contain 12 predicted alpha-helical transmembrane domains (TMDs) and one large extracellular loop between TMDs 1 and 2. Transporters of the SLC22 family function in different ways such as uniporters that mediate facilitated diffusion in either direction (OCTs), as anion exchangers (OAT1, OAT3 and URAT1), and as Na(+)/l-carnitine cotransporter (OCTN2). Slc22 family members participate in the absorption and/or excretion of drugs, xenobiotics, and endogenous compounds in intestine, liver, and kidney, and perform homeostatic functions in brain and heart. Mutations in the Slc22 family may cause specific diseases such as primary systemic carnitine deficiency or idiopathic renal hypouricemia and may change drug absorption or excretion. Recent studies show the expression of Slc22A17 as receptor for Lipocalin 2 is relatively high in hematopoietic stem cells.

Description:   LIM containing lipoma preferred partner, it belongs to the zyxin family. The Zyxin family of proteins contains five members, Ajuba, LIMD1, LPP, TRIP6 and Zyxin. LPP, an 80 kDa protein and a LIM domain-containing scaffolding protein contains three LIM domains at its carboxy terminus, which are preceded by a proline-rich pre-LIM region containing a number of protein interaction domains. The LPP localizes to sites of cell adhesion, such as focal adhesions and cell-cell contacts, and shuttles to the nucleus where it has transcriptional activation capacity.

Description:   Lck(lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase), with 509-amino acid protein (about 56 kDa), belongs to the Src non-receptor tyrosine kinases family. By virtue of common structural motifs, the Src family is composed of nine members in vertebrates, including Src, Yes, Fgr, Frk, Fyn, Lyn, Hck, Lck and Blk. Lck is expressed predominantly in T cells and is localized to the inner surface of the plasma membrane. Lck is activated after T cell stimulation and is required for T-cell proliferation and IL-2 production. Aberrant expression or activation of Lck kinase has been reported in both lymphoid and nonlymphoid malignancies. In addition, inhibition of Lck has been a target to prevent lymphocyte activation and acute rejection.

Description:   Inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase epsilon. The transcription factor NFκB is retained in the cytoplasm in an inactive form by the inhibitory protein IκB. Activation of NFκB requires that IκB be phosphorylated on specific serine residues, which results in targeted degra-dation of IκB. IκB kinase beta(IKKbeta), previously designated CHUK, interacts with IκB-betaand specifically phosphorylates IκB-betaon the sites that trigger its degradation, serines 32 and 36. The functional IKK complex contains three subunits, IKKbeta, IKKbetaand IKKgamma(also designated NEMO), and each appear to make essential contributions to IκB phosphorylation. IKK-i is a serine/threonine kinase that shares homology with IKKbetaand IKKbeta. IKK-i is pri-marily expressed in immune cells and is induced by lipopolysaccharide and by proinflammatory cytokines including TNFbeta, IL-1 and IL-6. Overexpression of IKK-i was shown to result in phosphorylation of IκBbetaon Ser32 and Ser36, and in NFκB activation, suggesting that IKK-i may act as an IκB kinase in the immune system.
