Description:   Recognizes human ORAI3, also known as Transmembrane protein 142C (TMEM142C), a 31.5 kDa multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the ORAI family. Antigen stimulation of immune cells triggers Ca2+ entry through Ca2+ release-activated Ca2+ (CRAC) channels. CRAC channels are the main pathway for Ca2+ influx in T-cells and promote the immune response to pathogens by activating the transcription factor NFAT. ORAI3 is one of two mammalian homologs of ORAI1, a four- transmembrane spanning protein that is an essential component of CRAC channels. ORAI3, along with ORAI1 and ORAI2, functions as a Ca2+ plasma membrane channel that is gated through interactions with STIM1, the store-activated endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ sensor. Studies indicate that ORAI3 channels undergo a lesser degree of depotentiation than ORAI1 or ORAI2. Is not expected to cross react with either ORAI1 or ORAI2.

Description:   Glut2 belongs to the facilitative glucose transporter protein family that comprises 13 members. It is an integral membrane protein with 12 transmembrane domains. Glut2 is expressed predominantly in liver, intestine, kidney, and pancreatic beta-cells. It is a low-affinity glucose transporter that has been suggested to function as a glucose sensor in pancreatic beta-cells and facilitate either glucose uptake or efflux from cells depending on the nutritional state.1 Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recognizes human GLUT 2 (Glucose Transporter, Insulin Regulatable) expression on hGlut2-transfected NS0 cells but not on control transfectants. Detects Glut2 on the surface of the human intestinal cell line Caco2 in flow cytometry and on fixed cells in immunocytochemistry tests. Based on flow cytometric tests on transfected cells, this antibody has no crossreactivity with hGlut1 or hGlut3.
Glucose transporter 2 isoform is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein of the liver, islet beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium. It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport. Because of its low affinity for glucose, it has been suggested as a glucose sensor.

Description:   FUNCTION: Receptor for the C-X-C chemokine SDF-1. Transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Involved in haematopoiesis and in cardiac ventricular septum formation. Plays also an essential role in vascularization of the gastrointestinal tract, probably by regulating vascular branching and/or remodelling processes in endothelial cells. Could be involved in cerebellar development. In the CNS, could mediate hippocampal-neuron survival. Acts as a primary receptor for some HIV-2 isolates and as a coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 X4 viruses (lymphocyte-tropic HIV-1 viruses, also called syncytium-inducing (SI) strains). Promotes Env-mediated fusion of the virus.

Description:   The 2;5 chromosomal translocation is frequently associated with anaplastic large cell lymphomas (ALCLs). The translocation creates a fusion gene consisting of the ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase) gene and the nucleophosmin (NPM) gene: the 3' half of ALK, derived from chromosome 2, is fused to the 5' portion of NPM from chromosome 5. A recent study shows that the product of the NPM-ALK fusion gene is oncogenic. The deduced amino acid sequences reveal that ALK is a novel receptor protein-tyrosine kinase having a putative transmembrane domain and an extracellular domain.

Description:   Non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in B-lymphocyte development, differentiation and signaling. B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling requires a tight regulation of several protein tyrosine kinases and phosphatases, and associated coreceptors. Binding of antigen to the B-cell antigen receptor (BCR) triggers signaling that ultimately leads to B-cell activation. Signaling through BLK plays an important role in transmitting signals through surface immunoglobulins and supports the pro-B to pre-B transition, as well as the signaling for growth arrest and apoptosis downstream of B-cell receptor.

Description:   Pst1 Antibody: Protoplast secreted protein 1 (Pst1) is an anchored plasma membrane protein. Pst1 was previously identified as a protein secreted by yeast regenerating protoplasts, which suggests a role in cell wall construction. Pst1 is a protein with 444 amino acids and is attached to yeast cell wall via a glycosylphosphatidylinisotol (GPI) anchor. Pst1 contains 15 potential N-linked glycosylation sites and is heavily glycosylated. It migrates at approximately 200 kDa on SDS-PAGE when produced in wild type S. cerevisiae. Our Pst1 protein (Catalog No. 95-151) was expressed in a genetically manipulated triple-mutant (TM) S. cerevisiae stain ( Delta och1 Delta mnn1 Delta mnn4), which results in the production of sole Man8GlcNAc2 carbohydrate structures and Pst1 migration at approximately 100 kDa. When produced in the TM yeast, Pst1 can be recognized by several glycan-specific HIV-1 broadly neutralizing antibodies, including 2G12 and recently identified PGT antibodies. Among several heavily N-glycosylated TM yeast glycoproteins, Pst1 shows higher affinity for 2G12 and efficiently inhibits gp120 interactions with 2G12 and DC-SIGN, and it also blocks 2G12-mediated neutralization of HIV-1 pseudoviruses.

Description:   NEUROD2 is a member of the neuroD family of neurogenic basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins. Expression of NEUROD2 can induce transcription from neuron-specific promoters, such as the GAP-43 promoter, which contain a specific DNA sequence known as an E-box. NEUROD2 can induce neurogenic differentiation in non-neuronal cells in Xenopus embryos, and is thought to play a role in the determination and maintenance of neuronal cell fates. This gene encodes a member of the neuroD family of neurogenic basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins. Description:   Bactericidal permeability-increasing protein(BPI for short), is a secreted protein which belongs to the BPI/LBP/Plunc superfamily, BPI/LBP family. It exists as a monomer or a disulfide-linked homodimer. The cytotoxic action of BPI is limited to many species of Gram-negative bacteria. This specificity may be explained by a strong affinity of the very basic N-terminal half for the negatively charged lipopolysaccharides that are unique to the Gram-negative bacterial outer envelope. BPI has antibacterial activity against the Gram-nagative bacterium P.aeruginosa, and this activity is inhibited by LPS from P.aeruginosa.
