Growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin, is a member of a family of growth factors. It plays an important role in growth control. Its major role in stimulating body growth is to stimulate the liver and other tissues to secrete IGF-1. GH includes prolactin, placental lactogens, proliferins, and somatolactin. It is synthesized primarily by somatotropes in the anterior pituitary and is stored in secretory granules. It stimulates both the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts. It also stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues.

Chemokine (C C Motif) Ligand 26 (CCL26) is a novel small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, which involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CCL26 is expressed constitutively in thymus, but only transiently in phytohemagglutinin-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells. It specifically binds and induces chemotaxis in T cells and elicits its effects by interacting with the chemokine receptor CCR4. Eotaxin-3/CCL26, along with Eotaxin-1 and Eotaxin-2, selectively activates the CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3). The Eotaxin-3-CCR3 interaction may play an important role in allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis and bronchial asthma. The full-length cDNA for Eotaxin-3 encodes a protein of 94 amino acids with a putative signal peptide of either 23 or 26 amino acid residues. Both the 71 and 68 amino acid residue variants of recombinant Eotaxin-3 demonstrate equal potency in inducing chemotaxis of a human CCR3-transfected cell line. Unlike most other CC chemokines, Eotaxin-3 maps to human chromosome 7q11.2, within 40 kilobases of the Eotaxin-2 loci. Eotaxin-3 and Eotaxin-2 are unique in that they are the only chemokines identified to date that map to chromosome 7.

RCA proteins is characterized by the presence of four to 30 SCRs (short consensus repeats also called CCPs for control protein modules) in their plasmaexposed regions. CD55 containing four SCR modules is involved in the regulation of the complement cascade. CD55 is known to bind CD97 via the first SCR. Cytotoxic and Regulatory T-Cell Molecule (CRTAM) is a member of Nectin family under the immunoglobulin superfamily that is expressed by activated CD8+ and NK T cells. CRTAM is found in spleen, thymus, small intestine, peripheral blood, and it is highly expressed by Purkinje cells of the cerebellum. CRTAM is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein containing one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain in its extracellular domain, while its cytoplasmic region shows a potential class I PDZ domain. CRTAM is expressed as a homodimer on the cell surface but does not show homotypic binding in trans. The high affinity of CRTAM/IGSF4 adhesion allows CRTAM to disrupt IGSF4 homotypic interactions. IGSF4 and T cell receptor coengagement of CD8+ cells expressiong CRTAM induces increased IFN gamma or IL-22 production.

Three genes for human Fc gamma RII (A, B, and C) and one for mouse (Fc gamma RIIB), encoding type I transmembrane proteins with ITAM motifs (Fc gamma RII A and C) or ITIM motifs (Fc gamma RIIB) in their cytoplasmic domains, have been identified. Human CD32, also known as Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor II-a (IgG Fc receptor II-a), Fc gamma RII A or FCGR2A Protein, is expressed on cells of both myeloid and lymphoid lineages as well as on cells of non-hematopoietic origin. Associated with an ITAM-bearing adapter subunit, FcR gamma , CD32a (Fc gamma RII A) delivers an activating signal upon ligand binding, and results in the initiation of inflammatory responses including cytolysis, phagocytosis, degranulation, and cytokine production. The responses can be modulated by signals from the co-expressed inhibitory receptors such as Fc gamma RII B, and the strength of the signal is dependent on the ratio of expression of the activating and inhibitory receptors.

DR6 is highly expressed in heart, brain, placenta, pancreas, lymph node, thymus and prostate. DR6 may activate NF-kappa-B and JNK to promote apoptosis and T-cell differentiation.
