Myozenin 2 (MYOZ2) is a 264 amino acid protein that belongs to the myozenin family. MYOZ2 binds to Calcineurin, a phosphatase that is involved in calcium-dependent signal transduction in diverse cell types. MYOZ2 is one of the sarcomeric proteins and plays an important role in myofibrillogenesis and the modulation of calcineurin signalling. It may serve as intracellular binding proteins involved in linking Z line proteins such as alpha-actinin, gamma-filamin, TCAP/telethonin, LDB3/ZASP and plays an important role in the modulation of calcineurin signalling. Junctional Adhesion Molecule A (JAM-A) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. JAM-A contains 2 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and Interacts with the ninth PDZ domain. JAM-A is localized to the tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells. JAM-A seems to be involved in epithelial tight junction formation. JAM-A appears early in primordial forms of cell junctions and recruits PARD3. The association of the PARD6-PARD3 complex may prevent the interaction of PARD3 with JAM-A, thereby preventing tight junction assembly. Human Glycoprotein A33 (GPA33) is a single-pass type I membrane protein, belongs to the CTX family of cell adhesion molecular within the immunoglobulin family, can be expressed in normal gastrointestinal epithelium and in 95% of colon cancers. GPA33 consists of one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain. The predicted mature protein includes a single transmembrane domain, a extracellular region and a intracellular tail. Complement Factor B (CFB) belongs to the peptidase S1 family of enzymes. It is expressed by hepatocytes and macrophages and localizes to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class III region on chromosome 6. Cytotoxic and Regulatory T-Cell Molecule (CRTAM) is a member of Nectin family under the immunoglobulin superfamily that is expressed by activated CD8+ and NK T cells. CRTAM is found in spleen, thymus, small intestine, peripheral blood, and it is highly expressed by Purkinje cells of the cerebellum. CRTAM is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein containing one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain in its extracellular domain, while its cytoplasmic region shows a potential class I PDZ domain. CRTAM is expressed as a homodimer on the cell surface but does not show homotypic binding in trans. The high affinity of CRTAM/IGSF4 adhesion allows CRTAM to disrupt IGSF4 homotypic interactions. IGSF4 and T cell receptor coengagement of CD8+ cells expressiong CRTAM induces increased IFN gamma or IL-22 production.
