Expanding the limits in Gas Chromatography by Derivatisation

Webinar

Tuesday, 14th March, 2023
15:00 to 16:00 CET (Berlin, Paris, Madrid)

Replay

Gas Chromatography is limited to compounds that can be vaporized and are not too polar. To expand these limits, derivatization is usually utilized to increase the volatility of compounds and reduce their polarity. This presentation provides an overview of the derivatization techniques for GC such as silylation, acylation and esterification. Topics will include:

  • Tips and tricks for method development
  •  Optimization of the conditions
  •  Trouble-shooting
