Description:
CD27 (TNFRSF7) is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily limited to cells of the lymphoid lineage and exists as both a dimeric glycoprotein on the cell surface and as a soluble protein in serum. As a T and B cell co-stimulatory molecule, the activity of CD27 is governed by its TNF-like ligand CD70 on lymphocytes and dendritic cells. The CD27-CD70 interaction is required for Th1 generation responses to differentiation signals and long-term maintenance of T cell immunity, and meanwhile, plays a key role in regulating B cell differentiation, activation and immunoglobulin synthesis. The CD27 receptor transduces signals and subsequently leads to the activation of NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK, mediated by the adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. In addition, the proapoptotic protein SIVA is capable of binding the cytoplasmic tail of CD27 and exerts action in the process of apoptosis.

Description:
Transcriptional activator, probably constitutive, which binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE) (consensus: 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Interaction with JUN redirects JUN to bind to CRES preferentially over the 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate response elements (TRES) as part of an ATF2-c-Jun complex.

Description:
SIP1 Antibody: SIP1 is one of the proteins found in the SMN complex, which consists of the survival of motor neuron (SMN) protein and several gemin proteins. The SMN complex is localized to a subnuclear compartment called gems (gemini of coiled bodies) and is required for assembly of spliceosomal snRNPs and for pre-mRNA splicing. SIP1 interacts directly with the SMN and it is required for formation of the SMN complex. A knockout mouse targeting the mouse homolog of this gene exhibited disrupted snRNP assembly and motor neuron degeneration. However, knockdown of the SIP1 mRNA in motor neurons showed normal motor axons while that of SMN mRNA did show abnormal motor axon outgrowth, indicating that SIP1 may have additional roles outside of the SMN complex.

Description:
HOXB8 belongs to the Antp homeobox family. It is a nuclear protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain. This gene is included in a cluster of homeobox B genes located on chromosome 17. The protein functions as a sequence-specific transcription factor that is involved in development. Increased expression of this gene is associated with colorectal cancer. Mice that have had the murine ortholog of this gene knocked out exhibit an excessive pathologic grooming behavior. This behavior is similar to the behavior of humans suffering from the obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorder trichotillomania. This gene is a member of the Antp homeobox family and encodes a nuclear protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain. Description:
CREBZF belongs to the bZIP family. It strongly activates transcription when bound to HCFC1. The protein suppresses the expression of HSV proteins in cells infected with the virus in a HCFC1-dependent manner. It also suppresses the HCFC1-dependent transcriptional activation by CREB3 and reduces the amount of CREB3 in the cell. CREBZF is able to down-regulate expression of some cellular genes in CREBZF-expressing cells.

JAKMIP2 Antibody: JAKMIP2, also known as neuroendocrine long coiled-coil protein 1 (NECC1), is a member of the JAKMIP family of proteins whose members are thought play a role in JAK1 signaling and the regulation of microtubule cytoskeleton rearrangements. JAKMIP2 is expressed predominantly in neuronal cells but unlike JAKMIP1, JAKMIP2 localizes to the Golgi complex. It has been suggested that JAKMIP2 may play important roles in the control of the regulated secretory pathway.

TSHZ1 Antibody: The Teashirt zinc finger homeobox (TSHZ) family comprise a family of evolutionarily conserved transcription factors that, in Drosophila, are active in specific body parts for patterning, but whose function in vertebrates is less clear. TSHZ1 has been found to be required for axial skeleton, soft palate and middle ear development in mice and may be involved in a common pathway with the Hox genes. Both TSHZ1 and the related protein TSHZ3 have been found to interact with FE65, an adapter protein that binds to the amyloid protein precursor (APP) in neurons. Together with SET, a component of the inhibitor of acetyl transferase, and histone deacetylases, these proteins formed a gene-silencing complex whose target includes caspase-4.

YPEL1 Antibody: YPEL1 (yippee-like 1) is thought to play a role in the epitheloid conversion of fibroblasts and the regulation of the cellular morphology. It is a 119 amino acid protein that localizes to the nucleus and belongs to a family of yippee-like proteins that include YPEL2 - 5, all of which localize to the centrosome and nucleus and are widely expressed in both adult and fetal tissue. The family of human YPEL proteins share a high degree of sequence homology with their rodent homologs, suggesting a conserved function between species. YPEL1 might be an important factor during the development and malignant transformation of tissues.
