Description:   KLK3, also known as APS, is short for Prostate-specific antigen. It is a 261 aa. protein which belongs to the peptidase S1 family and Kallikrein subfamily. This protein has 5 isforms produced by alternative splicing. It is a secreted protein and can forms a heterodimer with SERPINA5 which can inhibit its activity. KLK3 is also strongly inhibited by Zn²⁺, 100 times more abundant in semen than in serum. This inhibition is relieved by exposure to semenogelins, which are avid zinc binders. KLK3 can hydrolyses semenogelin-1 thus leading to the liquefaction of the seminal coagulum.

Description:   CD274, also known as B7-H1 or programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), is a 40 kD type I transmembrane protein and a member of the B7 family within the immunoglobulin receptor superfamily. Description:   Human B7-H2 is a member of the growing B7 family of immune costimulatory proteins. Other family members include B7-1, B7-2, B7-H1 (PD-L1), PD-L2 and B7-H3. B7 proteins are members of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily, the extracellular domains contain 2 Ig-like domains and all members have short cytoplasmic domains. B7-H2 has been identified as the ligand for ICOS, a member of the CD28 family of costimulatory receptors. Human B7-H2 is expressed constitutively on resting B cells, dendritic cells and at low levels on monocytes. Description:   CD46 is a type I membrane protein containing four Sushi domains. CD46 is expressed by all cells except erythrocytes. CD46 has cofactor activity for inactivation of complement components C3b and C4b by serum factor I, which protects the host cell from damage by complement. It may be involved in the fusion of the spermatozoa with the oocyte during fertilization. CRISP-3 is a glycoprotein that belongs to the family of cysteine-rich secretory proteins (CRISPs) which was originally discovered in human neutrophilic granulocytes.
