C-type lectin superfamily 4, member G (CLEC4G) is also known as liver and lymph node sinusoidal endothelial cell C-type lectin (LSECtin), which is a member of subgroup II of the C-type (Ca2+-dependent) lectin superfamily. CLEC4G / LSECtin binds to mannose, GlcNAc, and fucose in a Ca2+-dependent manner. In addition, CLEC4G / LSECtin has the ability to bind to surface glycoproteins of enveloped viruses. In particular, interaction of LSECtin with the surface glycoproteins of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus and Ebola virus has been described, and LSECtin-mediated infection of cells by Ebola virus has been demonstrated.

KLK3, also known as APS, is short for Prostate-specific antigen. It is a 261 aa. protein which belongs to the peptidase S1 family and Kallikrein subfamily. This protein has 5 isforms produced by alternative splicing. It is a secreted protein and can forms a heterodimer with SERPINA5 which can inhibit its activity. KLK3 is also strongly inhibited by Zn²⁺, 100 times more abundant in semen than in serum. This inhibition is relieved by exposure to semenogelins, which are avid zinc binders. KLK3 can hydrolyses semenogelin-1 thus leading to the liquefaction of the seminal coagulum.

CD274, also known as B7-H1 or programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), is a 40 kD type I transmembrane protein and a member of the B7 family within the immunoglobulin receptor superfamily. Programmed death-1 ligand-1 (PD-L1, CD274, B7-H1) has been identified as the ligand for the immunoinhibitory receptor programmed death-1(PD1/PDCD1) and has been demonstrated to play a role in the regulation of immune responses and peripheral tolerance. By binding to PD1 on activated T-cells and B-cells, PD-L1 may inhibit ongoing T-cell responses by inducing apoptosis and arresting cell-cycle progression. Accordingly, it leads to growth of immunogenic tumour growth by increasing apoptosis of antigen specific T cells and may contribute to immune evasion by cancers. PD-L1 thus is regarded as promising therapeutic target for human autoimmune disease and malignant cancers.

Human B7-H2 is a member of the growing B7 family of immune costimulatory proteins. Other family members include B7-1, B7-2, B7-H1 (PD-L1), PD-L2 and B7-H3. B7 proteins are members of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily, the extracellular domains contain 2 Ig-like domains and all members have short cytoplasmic domains. B7-H2 has been identified as the ligand for ICOS, a member of the CD28 family of costimulatory receptors. Human B7-H2 is expressed constitutively on resting B cells, dendritic cells and at low levels on monocytes. The B7-H2/ICOS interaction appears to play roles in T cell dependent B cell activation and Th differentiation.

CD46 is a type I membrane protein containing four Sushi domains. CD46 is expressed by all cells except erythrocytes. CD46 has cofactor activity for inactivation of complement components C3b and C4b by serum factor I, which protects the host cell from damage by complement. It may be involved in the fusion of the spermatozoa with the oocyte during fertilization. CD46 also acts as a costimulatory factor for T-cells which induces the differentiation of CD4+ into T-regulatory 1 cells. T-regulatory 1 cells suppress immune responses by secreting interleukin-10, and therefore are thought to prevent autoimmunity. A number of viral and bacterial pathogens exploit this property and directly induce an immunosuppressive phenotype in T-cells by binding to CD46. CD46 acts as a receptor for the Edmonston strain of measles virus, human herpesvirus-6, and type IV pili of pathogenic Neisseria.

Cysteine-rich secretory protein 3 (CRISP-3) is a secreted protein,containing 1 SCP domain and 1 ShKT domain.It is belongs to the CRISP family. CRISP-3 is a glycoprotein that belongs to the family of cysteine-rich secretory proteins (CRISPs) which was originally discovered in human neutrophilic granulocytes. CRISP-3 is also widely distibuted in exocrine glands (salivary glands, pancreas and prostate), eosinophilic granulocytes and to a lower level in epididymis, ovary, thymus and colon. The presence of CRISP-3 in neutrophils, eosinophils and in exocrine secretions indicates a role in innate host defense. The antibody has been raised against recombinant C-terminally truncated form of CRISP-3 and recognizes both the N-glycosylated and non-glycosylated form of the mature protein.

Inter-Cellular Adhesion Molecule 1 (ICAM1) is a type of intercellular adhesion molecule continuously present in low concentrations in the membranes of leukocytes and endothelial cells. As an endothelial and leukocyte-associated transmembrane protein, ICAM1 is well known for its importance in stabilizing cell-cell interactions and facilitating leukocyte endothelial transmigration. The presence of heavy glycosylation and other structural characteristics lend ICAM1 binding sites for a number of immune-associated ligands. Interleukin 13 receptor, alpha 1 is also known as IL13RA1, NR4 and CD213A1 (cluster of differentiation 213A1), The IL13 Rα1 cDNA encodes a 427 amino acid (aa) residue precursor protein with a putative 21 aa residue signal peptide, a 324 aa residue extracellular domain, a 23 aa residue transmembrane region and a 59 aa residue cytoplasmic tail. Human and mouseIL13Rα1 share 76% aa sequence identity. IL13RA1 is a subunit of the interleukin 13 receptor. This subunit forms a receptor complex with IL4 receptor alpha, a subunit shared by IL13 and IL4 receptors. This subunit serves as a primary IL13-binding subunit of the IL13 receptor, and may also be a component of IL4 receptors. This protein has been shown to bind tyrosine kinase TYK2, and thus may mediate the signaling processes that lead to the activation of JAK1, STAT3 and STAT6 induced by IL13 and IL4.
